Start of the new month, and again the DD is closed in profit just today, for 1k profit in one month. Will it be a habit? in any case, Spready continues to grind out pips, for now...

I gave a try as well. (And thanks a lot fox for your shared results).

Pretty impressive during March, from 0 to 34%. Forget the red bar today, I closed manually due to issue with the VPS and all my Buy Orders returned an error. Will change the platform soon.

I tried as well to increase a bit progressivly the lot size, but remained at 0.11 per order.
In some specific situation it strugle a bit as I went to 8 sell and 15 buy... Hoppefuly Gold is quite dynamic and went in the right direction.

Did a bit of math, in the bad scenario with 15 buys and 15 sells, the negative floating $ would be around 5300$ with 0.1 lot. On a 20,000 account it would cost about 25% of the value, but preferable to not fall in this situation at the start of a 10,000 account.

Hey PipsFisherman, It's nice to see other similar results!

What you say is certainly true, in the unfortunate case of 15 buy and 15 sell orders, the worst point to be in is the central point of the grid. However, if the account can handle this DD, one can still exit at a more favorable point (one of the 2 extremes of the grid) and greatly reduce the impact of the loss.

At the moment I'm more interested in finding a way to avoid that situation, because with a 10k account and 0.1 lots the EA is still surviving. For example in live I could use 2k accounts with 0.01 lots and have half the DD.

Just wondered if there are any updates regarding updating the EA to incorporate some of the latest ideas shared, eg. a variable tp as order numbers increase, etc

Long time without an update, so thought I'd come back here. Spready hasn't had an easy few months, and after first reaching the 15 buy/15 sell situation from which he emerged poorly, he is now navigating difficult waters. All the profit was returned to the market, yet he continues to not give up. Future updates will follow :popcorn:

Hi everyone. Here we are with another monthly update. This EA does not seem to get much interest, although in my opinion it deserves attention. This is a first version of the EA without improvements, and after 9 months of fully automatic trading, it continues to be positive.

In the past months I have made some slight changes, simply changing the lot and consequently the take profit (without changing the initial lot/take profit ratio). This way I will have less draw down. The EA now works with 0.05 lots per position and take profit 50.

Despite the smaller lot, it has returned to growth of $1,600 in the last month since the last update (Jul 1st).

Waiting for next month now, for another update. Cheers :popcorn:

thanks for the update fiox, great to see it returning to profitability and seems like the adjustments you made will help to mitigate drawdown. Please keep us posted next month
