Wow, had a lousy day yesterday, a lot of 50 pip SLs hit (may have to review that), then while I was away getting ready to watch the Olympics made about 400 pips (using 25/10 BE with 5 JS) in the last hour of trading!

Well done feucht!

I was also using 25/10 BE (with MPTM) but my JS was set to false. It looks like it made the difference in your case....at least for the last hour!

Thanks for the info ;)

Cheers!

Hi Bunker,
like the look of the SSlope one question and one potential devel
1. In its current version on CHFUSD 21st Jan - July 2012 spread 2.5 lot 0.5 htf D1 buy/sell +-0.6 ltf 60 stretch at 1.3 with SB 0.2 BE25/10 JS 10 I get 5 trades end of May beginning of June & 5th July -- all winning trades by the way 5.5% Net P RDD 8%. Would you say this is representative perf. of this strategy? Or am I way off if so where roughly do I need to look?
2. Looking at the chart with TMATrue slope hist as the only indi I begin to see another poss using the stretch slope concept that I wanted your view on - using D1 + or - slope determining the direction of trades and H1 above below +-0.8 as entry. If D1 is + then look longs with h1 cross -0.8 (but the re cross i.e. in positive direction). Now hold trade as h1 slope goes positive then exit as h1 recrosses 0. Given each pairs behavior the cross value and entry level should be variables. What do you think?

Hi Jonathan2FI,

Thank you for your post

At this time, it is difficult to comment on the performance of Stretchy Slope because the EA is fairly new. There were days with no trade and others with a lot of them being triggered the same day. It goes in waves (market breathing). For instance, on July 25th, I had 20 trades triggered that day and they all hit BE. And as you have seen, other traders got amazing results by applying good MM practices (I have to learn from them!). But I would say that if you got a 5.5% Net profit you definitely are on the right track ! and this is why we need your input here. ;) Keep on posting your results (good and bad) and settings.

Your second question is extremely interesting. I think we got a first wave of EAs based on the Slope value and the next generation will be based on the Slope direction (or value change). There are no doubts you are on the right track (again) with your strategy. I invite you to detail your strategy (with picture ?) on this thread: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=37&t=701
I’ll give you my 2 pips as I am working with other traders on something similar.

Cheers!

Yup, had plenty of trades last week, but none today, looks like D1 and H1 slopes are in harmony at the moment. I don't imagine it will last :D
