I see you have OrderIncludeSLTP set to true--this is for dealing desk type dealers. If your dealer is an ECN type, change it to false and SL and TP will be sent to the dealer's server in a separate order. This is the usual suspect.

Hi,

I had the same issue as Shelley with the EA opening trades NOT at the start of the daily candle, the original The7 opens at 00:00 GMT time using Cowboy IBFX. I thought The8 earlier version did also start at 00:00 - see pics attached.

The8 has changed starting times, The7 keeps at 00:00 GMT at the start of the new daily candle.

I have an AXI demo running with The7 which has a different daily candle time and it is not as good as the Cowboy IBFX demo.

Also, here are my stats for The7, I am still trying to figure out the stops with this one, sometimes it will close open trades at the start of the new daily candle if they are in d/d. Still doing OK though.

Note that the profit is $150 not $80 as reflected, because the first demo started with $3K crashed after making $70 profits, so I opened the new demo with $3070, prob not a good idea, but too late to change now.

Will change over to v1o at the start of next week, currently still have 1m on the charts and it did fix the opening errors I had been having with trades starting at odd times.

All the later trades have opened at 00:00

Time for an update on The7...I have had this EA run mostly default, but using the b/e, and partial close.

Now 2012 is behind us I am hoping to get some serious settings working on The7, you can see from the stats since I started this demo, including through the holiday period this EA has had 140 trades, and the only thing really upsetting the stats is the number of large closures for losses that happen at 00:00GMT.

I know from reading the rules as per the FF thread and RJo's The8, there is mention of closing losing trades on an opposite signal, which of course would have to happen at the new daily candle being 00:00GMT.

The other losing trades that have happened have hit trailing stops or b/e settings etc.,are much smaller losses.

I am thinking if this part of the code which has the EA close trades at 00:00GMT loss is deleted, and the Stop Loss be at the high or low signal bar , losses could potentially be lowered. Steve, is it possible to do this?

Another member testing The7 has suggested that perhaps having an option added to the code -(for testing, to see if this works better than the instant order) - would be to have the EA set pending orders at "x" number of pips (manually input) away from the open/close of the signal candle. If this is a true/false option results can be compared to the original code.

Checking the stats you can see the volume of trades taken by The7 is pretty good, the only thing really hurting the EA is this 00:00 closure.

I could keep testing this and manually input the SL etc., but I can't control the zero GMT thing, so any help here would be appreciated.

I echo what Marlene has said above. The one stumbling block that has me baffled is the EA's behavior to terminate trades at exactly 00.00 GMT, for no apparent reason. I would prefer that the trade be allowed to hit TP or SL, without the involvement of an arbitrary time factor.
