A business acquaintance had wanted to send my family and I there to a new resort that is opening up where you are Bob. We had already plans for our vacation but let us know how it is on the island. Happy Easter all...
This place is really nice. We are out in the countryside and it is quiet, clean, and peaceful. There is so much silence with chirping birds and insects, and monkeys and ............... love it. Sleeping all morning visiting afternoon and fresh seafood at night. The beaches are beautiful here. I will post some pics when I get back. I am definitely coming here again in the future. Fresh air, clear skies at night. You can see the stars and the Milky Way. Yes the city is a bit crowded and touristy but out here in the rainforest, I am enjoying myself immensely.

Am I right in assuming that when you apply the 10.7 indis to the EDSL system, you no longer need to pay any regard to the 60 and 240 moving averages? If you do, trades (and gains) are limited.

Is anyone using the sweet spot and daily pivots for entry still?

Yellow below red = downtrend.

Blue is used to catch the swings as usual.

We have in the chart a nasty time of price dancing around 240 that could have produced fake sell signals. Yellow stoch is not tricked by price at any moment!

Making the 60 more reactive has pros and cons. I´ll check it this weekend.
Zen,

I could not get your stoch setting, could you share with pictures where to enter those settings on

Yellow 60,1,1

Red 240,2,2

Thanks in advance.

Just draw three stochs to a sub window. You can use the default Empty4 stoch.

Not sure yet of the best settings. I´m trying to avoid the MTF stoch and replace it by a slow stoch + fast stoch + medium stoch combo. The MTF is a great strategy but I get a little nervous not knowing if the signals will stay or change. This is not a weakness of the system, of course, it´s a weakness of my mind that can´t deal with uncertainty. When I was starting in forex I didn´t like candlesticks or bars. I used the graphic lines for price because even a simple candlestick was felt as a repainting indicator. So, imagine the rest.

I´m looking for a combo the most close to the original Bob and Tomasso MTF using slow settings to replace the weekly stoch and medium for the daily. Not an easy task.

I have been trying the 21,10,4 that has a great reputation as slow Stoch but I can´t get a close system of signals with it. I´ll keep looking for the best settings.

7,2,2 is a great fast stoch, the two others will be hard to find.

Anyway, I´m keeping the weekly and daily open lines in the chart and I´m giving a great importance to them. Watching the situation of price in relation with this two lines is a more quiet way of getting the same MTF stoch readings.

I have been looking at a similar stochastic approach as zentauro for a while now, so please feel free to experiment with attached - originally coded by cja at FF - there is even room for a fourth stoch but as it gets too "wiggly" for my taste I disabled that option.... There are no alerts implemented yet!

Cheers

@mobthehop

A big thanks. It looks great. Now it will become very easy tuning the settings just using a single panel.

Hi zentauro67

Thank you very much for this:

"This indicator is an absolute must have if you use martingale, hedge or stacking. No need of complicate the things. Just manage to drive your open positions to the orange line adding buys or sells."

Got a little reading to do

Hi, Geges

:hi:

It sounds almost as a joke, but a good start for forex, if I could go back, should be a naked chart with that only indicator that draws the break even line.

A basic training exercise: look for a ranging pair as EURCHF (or even EURUSD that has a wide and dynamic range), buy and sell at the same time a 0.01 lot aiming to 100 pips. Let the time pass, cash the winning trade and try to recover the losing to break even playing with the size and watching the price action. Sometimes martingaling, sometimes hedging (or both at the same time) and sometimes not doing nothing, waiting to the price coming back to the original position. Surely, this can lead to the ruin, but is a great learning experience. The pressure to take the correct decision will sharp your focus. Once you open multiple orders the breakeven line becomes a lighthouse in the storm. I have a lot of templates but this ExpZeroline is the only indicator that is present in all of them.

Bob's gonna hate me for saying this, but does that Indi repaint? The 10.7 indies repaint like crazy - I know today' s Monday... perhaps I should wait until tomorrow to use the 10.7. I was thinking of using the this indi and get a second opionion before placing a trade.

ideas anyone?
