Hi,

since you are using CSS, you can test out the new feature as mentioned here:
http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 280#p91124

Read the CSS chart to determine each currency direction, 1 for up (green), -1 for down (red), 0 for uncertain. (blue)
The circle would appear beside the pair name indicating what the CSS dictates for the movement of this pair.
Green for up - Currency 1 is up, Currency 2 is down
Red for down - Currency 1 is down, Currency 2 is up
Yellow for uncertain - Both currencies are either up or down
Blue for uncertain - when either Currency 1 or 2 is not certain in direction -This is a separate case from the above.

My opinion is that it is helpful to have a uncertain value of the currency to indicate that it is ranging with no clear direction or when there is potential news that may impact the currency.
In that way, you can mark it out and factor it into your decision making.

In addition, it is good to look at BOTH H4 and D1 CSS and be careful if they both do not align.
Currently, i am testing out the 10.9 trades...factoring in the H4 CSS in the decision making process.

Cheers

Hi Janos,

The CSS direction is a manual entry option, and you need to enable it by setting the bool to true.
It is not automatic.
You need to read the CSS chart and determine the directions then key in -1,0,1 in the respective currencies.
I am still mulling if this feature is useful... well...we shall see. :)

Thanks again SpiderX for the newest change to the dashboard (CSS) do you think it would also be nice if we could see week open, and daily open values with values turning yellow when within 10 pips or so?

:good:

Spider, I must congratulate you for a phenomenal job with the dashboard. You have just eliminated my migraines by not having to stare at 20 mini charts. It is truly an amazing piece of work !!!

Questions: I have looked at all operational description and I cannot find the basis for the currency pair color change. From observation, I think the pair changes from white to yellow when WK and D agree, but I cannot pin down what makes it change from yellow to green or to red. The color change of the stochs is clear, my doubt is only with the currency colors...

I noticed from your picture that you increased the space between the horizontal lines. How do I increase the space between rows? They are too close together making them difficult to read.

Thanks again for a landmark achievement.

I tried today to implement into dashboard a automatic system that tells if currency is going up or down based on CSS (so no manually entering into dashboard). I have done this (well, more like changed it that it seems better to me) for BestBob EA but doing the same thing but on the dashboard or the CSS indicator seems to be over me.

The basic idea was to substract past bar slope value from new bar slope value and look if it is positive or negative and if difference of this values is less than given by user FlatRange.

If first currency is positive and second negative there is UT. If first is negative and second is positive there is DT. If both currencies are going the same directions or both are flat there is NT.

The best entrance is when most of TFs tells the same. I think the best is to check M30, H1, H4 and D1. The best exit is when currencies are changing directions.

How can you see, it's different approach than Bob's. Here you can see why I chose it.

So well, coding it surpass my capabilities for now, both coding and available time but I will definitely come back to this idea sometime.
