Any timeframe.. been playing on M1 today (taking wavy or MACD Hurst entries into the direction of M5 & M15 Hursts i.e. 5TMA centerline above 10 on both timeframes for shorts and below for longs)... and there have been some nice little runs. Using a lower timeframe to get into the high timeframe hursts seems to work well and as soon as the MACD Hursts agree on color there is always a Wavy either before or after.

M1 is good for testing because you get to see a whole cycle play out over a few hours.. if there is positive expectancy on M1 then generally you are laughing and strategy should be a scorcher on higher timeframes.

Will be fine live from M5 up me thinks.

Hi Trader Joe,

Downloaded the indis that you posted recently and same thing, even I open a new demo and nothing. Can you tell me the path you use? Or is something else to attach, maybe on the libraries? or a missing file?

I downloaded the indis on mql4/indicators and re-started. and I checked that the indis are there on the navigator and also on the indicators list of the chart. Maybe a setting on the diferent tabs, like about, common, inputs, colors, visualization?

Anyway, can't have it work, already ask Jeremy for help. Waiting for his reply.

Hi Trader Joe,

Have been quietly reading and re-reading your methodology and it is coming together nicely. What is most inspiring is your tenacity to refine and improve along the way. The multitude of indicators that have complimented HGI recently is fantastic and the generosity of members contributions incredible.

Over at the HGI forum I see that Bob has revised HGI to ver 16.04. Just curious where you are with the updates and what are your preferred settings now.

Interested to hear how the transition from employment to full-time trader progresses for you as it is a goal shared by many here I am sure.

Cheers Matt! .. yes am using HGI vs 16.04 and only for the wavys.

Transition from employment has been good.. so nice to have time to breathe and really look at my trading. Yep often setted on a template for a day and then I've tried something different the next but the underlying strategy is the same.. wavy to wavy

.. Gotta start making some ££ though so rest of this month is going to be a test for me. Time to focus :geek:

Thanks for sharing your tpl. I downloaded on both live and demo accs. but still the same. The indicators windows open but still empty. When opening the indicators list, it shows that they are there, not the two ribbons in the main chart section as in your pic. Are those Hurst Tma centered MTF for M30 and H1?

Anyway, in my chart I only see the HGI v16.04 15M wavies and the 2 empty windows on the bottom.

I think I'm missing an indicator or something.

Thanks a lot for your help..... I agree with Matt I want to become a full time trader..... a succesfull full time trader! lol

Just to clarify a bit further. The MACD Hurst shows a colour change when the 5 and 10 TMAs start moving closer together. This often gives an indication of a trend change, although like the TMAs, the MACD Hurst does ofcourse move around a bit.

So when you talk about the direction of the 2 higher Hursts, do you mean direction based on relative position of the 2 TMAs (e.g. short is when 5>10), or is your direction based on the colour of the MACD Hursts. I find that only start looking for a trade when the TMAs start moving closer together (i.e. colour change) seems to work best.

Also, I assume your actual MACD Hurst entries occur at the colour change of the MACD, is that right? As an example if you're trading the H4, you take a MACD Hurst short trade when it changes to red, but only if the 2 higher MACD Hursts are also red, is that right? Just want to clarify because I have been doing similar to this since Pips400 posted the MACD Hurst (big thanks to Pips400), but my testing has been on H4 looking at the D1 MACD Hurst, and I'm not using TDMTL either. I didn't throw away 10.7 entirely either and I've been looking at STO entries that agree with Hurst MACD.

I see that you seem to be using the wavies as entry signals, trading wavy to wavy irrespective of wavy colour, I have only been trading the blue wavies and using the yellows as exits. Are you using HGI range arrows as exits, and are you using the Hurst target as a possible exit. I find Hurst target to pretty decent overall, it does take you out of some big moves too early; often (not always) you can get back in on the next signal.
