Hello guys. I just installed the EA but as I can see from the backtesting in Empty4 it seems that something does not work. I downloaded all the indicator listed on the first page and learned a bit about simphony trading system. I would love to use EA and to trade it manually but from the results I thought that something was not working properly.
Can somebody let me know if it's still working fine ?

i have tried to get this ea to work my damdest, including changing the code and attempted to co-erce the ea to go into buy and sell positions, but no luck. i also tried messing with the indi's. the best i got was a breakeven situation , including with Wapens version of only using one of the indicators.

the last straw was when i noticed the ea would take buy and sell positions at exactly the same time. It might have been something i 'broke' while messing with the code, probably, but it also happened on Wapens version, and i hardly changed anything apart from indicator settings on that one.

if you still interested, can you include a screen pic in a post, i'll try ot see if all looks okay.
i can also help along with some of my set files, but as i say, play with them on demo, but please dont go live with this. :(

I forget that abandoned EA's can look as though they might have a future. I have added this to the top of post 1:

19th JUNE 2012. THIS EA IS A FAILURE AND HAS BEEN ABANDONED. PLAY WITH IT ON DEMO IF YOU WISH, BUT DO NOT EXPECT SUCCESS.

Steve,

I am saddened to hear that you are unable to recreate my Symphonie manual System as an automated robot.... :|

But I also understand......because many before you have tried and failed. Symphonie can be a very complex system that as humans trading find Symphonie easy but when trying to do as a robot it is very difficult to reproduce.

However, there is one more gleam of hope that I provide you that may turn things around for you and that (if possible) is the incorporation of a moving average line into the robot to keep it on the correct side of the trend in trading.

I use a 50 SMA line (shift 2) for direction when trading with the Symphonie Matrix. Basically you only take Symphonie signals that agree with which side of the 50 SMA line you are on. (Below = only Sell Signals and Above = only Buy Signals) I have found this is the best way to keep on in the trend that produces stronger signals generating more pips and the moves tend to be more powerful.

thanks for the post Eval, i've got to get home to reply to you on this one. i got some pics and results there to show you on Steve's AA indi which he incorporates in most of his EAs.

i tried asasa's ea too and included his SMA filter, also changed that one, but that one had other problems and i could'nt get it to work.

Steve gave us a heck of a lot of options with this Symphonie EA, and i tried just about all i could think of, there were however some surprises i'd like to discuss with my next post. I should be done in a few hours and will reply on the variants forum as it had to do with a few subtle changes to your system.

I would be very happy to keep trying, i just want to see how best to edit and fit the EA without the problems i ran into before.

the problem could be that with the actual Empty4 the indicators wont compile, as this project is abandoned, best is to forget the EA, you will find in this forum much more interesting EA's.
