I don't use the default setting and I also do not use the CSSDiff filter as I use the Gary.BaludaSuperCSS.v.2.0 as supporting indicator but do use the MA filter. You can download the CSS here http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 88#p146488

The MADDY is not a standalone trading system but an entry and trade management dashboard. You need to have your own system to use it, and all you do is plug in your own MAs to see the strong and weak currency groups and decide whether it is a good time to enter or wait for pullback. Rene has coded for us an outstanding dashboard and the difference btw MADDY and the MADdash is that you:
1. have MA crossover as well as the MA single line and you can use shift but MADdash has only the single line
2. can set a lookback period to eliminate stale signals and
3. can further highlight fresh signals within the last 30, 60, etc minutes as you want

There has been a misunderstanding and misconception about the MADDY that I will like to clarify. The MADDY is not a trading system nor is it a standalone indicator or dashboard. It is an entry and trade management tool, where a trader plugs in the MA or MAs on his/her own trading system to ascertain the strong and weak currency groups. I emphasized this at the introduction of this dashboard as well as on the MADdash thread @ FF.

After playing with the indicator, some traders felt the dashboard should be tradable by an EA, and Rene generously provided us an EA which we tested for several months. The results were mixed and not consistent, and I resorted to my manual trading while exploring other EA trading options, as I knew from the beginning that it was not a standalone dashboard.

I will use the example below which I posted live, from the MADdash thread in October 2016 to illustrate further

You can see from this example that it was my system setup that determined my trade not the dashboard. I only used the dashboard to time my entry when assured of momentum as GBP confirm its weakness and JPY became strong against almost all other currency groups.

Therefore it is no surprise that the thread is quiet as all don't trade the same way or use the same trading system. But if anybody has any question that has not been answered especially in my introduction, I will respond at my earliest convenience. The thread is just 29 pages and should not be difficult to read through in few days.

Thanks Mr. George for your detailed reply. I recently came back to FF forum, somehow fond your MADdash thread and feeling lucky that I find that. I believe, it has great potential and eager to learn every aspect of this system (MADdash + MADDY + Trade Setups).

Till date, I am a complete looser in Forex and since start (almost 2.5 years), have lost $19,000+ but I am not hopeless. I am after it and one day, I believe, I will cover my entire losses and will see some green pips finally. I am trying your methodology in demo and its working. And this time, I have inner gut feeling that I can do that. I will really appreciate your guidance in the same as you are one of the seniors and also successful Forex trader and this was your idea. This thing motivates me a lot.

I have read many pages of this thread and also 40+ pages of MADdash and will go through remaining as well. As you are using these (MADDY + MADdash) since long time and must had gone through various hit & trial values to get better and better results, it will take many many months maybe year to me reach those values. As I don't have any trading system yet and trading goals are 30-40 pips per day, if you don't mind, can you please share screen shot of MADDY setting (or preset files) which you are using currently?

As you know, good selection of MA's is very crucial. This will give you early signal to decide what pairs to chose for trade and then quickly go, see the setup and join the party of pips instead of late entry.

Is it possible you could post the preset file you are using on the Maddy dashboard ? as I cant seem to get it the same as the image you posted .

That's the problem :-( Neither I have trading system/style, not I have my own MA's. That's why I asked for your setting.

I started reading MADdash thread from beginning and once I reached page 37, I came to know about MADDY and I immediately came here but was astonished to know that such valuable thread is silent for 2 years. MADDY was next step of MADdash, so I thought maybe they moved to an other advance level to some other thread. I have read first 5 pages and realized the difference of MADDY and MADdash. Thanks for writing the summary of the same. Much appreciated. :-)
