Yellow above red = uptrend.

Yellow below red = downtrend.

Blue is used to catch the swings as usual.

We have in the chart a nasty time of price dancing around 240 that could have produced fake sell signals. Yellow stoch is not tricked by price at any moment!

Making the 60 more reactive has pros and cons. I´ll check it this weekend.
Bob's gonna hate me for saying this, but does that Indi repaint? The 10.7 indies repaint like crazy today - I know today' s Monday... perhaps I should wait until tomorrow to use the 10.7. I was thinking of using the this indi and get a second opionion before placing a trade.

ideas anyone?

This is no repainting this is a logical effect as the stoch indicators are using the open bars and so the values change with price changes...

Cheers :)

As Bob mentioned, on Monday the week's direction is not set yet so it will move around. Today is also a bank holiday in many countries, so you might want to consider whether it is a good day to trade anyways. Because of that, it may well be Wednesday before we have a clear indication of the week's direction for many pairs.

I am going to be re-reading many of the posts and playing around with my charts. Currently almost all my trading is based on VSA (Volume Spread analysis) which has been doing very well for me over the last several months. I added Bob's 10.7 indicators to my charts and Boldtrader's ATR channels and was blown away at how much better I could have done and how much more this adds to my trading opportunities.

Big thanks to everyone involved for putting this all together!

10.7 does not repaint. The higher time periods are still moving up and down, and thus the current HTF STO will continue to adjust until the next bar opens. I recommend to re-read how the indicator works and Bob's (and other great traders here) suggestions on it's use and WHEN to monitor it for stability. I use it just fine. Again, just speaking for myself, I strongly recommend re-reading the info regarding it's use and timing. I have also posted my use and setups along with the application of 10.7 and 10.9 to my own workspaces.

If I can be of service, feel free to contact.

Cheers.

That's really kind of you!!! I've been lurking around here for a few years.. keeping quiet and just doing my EDSL etc. I don't ask very many questions, but when I do, someone is always ready to go out of their way and help.

We're like a family here. Absolutely refreshing in this crappy, selfish world!

:hi:

It sounds almost as a joke, but a good start for forex, if I could go back, should be a naked chart with that only indicator that draws the break even line.

A basic training exercise: look for a ranging pair as EURCHF (or even EURUSD that has a wide and dynamic range), buy and sell at the same time a 0.01 lot aiming to 100 pips. Let the time pass, cash the winning trade and try to recover the losing to break even playing with the size and watching the price action. Sometimes martingaling, sometimes hedging (or both at the same time) and sometimes not doing nothing, waiting to the price coming back to the original position. Surely, this can lead to the ruin, but is a great learning experience. The pressure to take the correct decision will sharp your focus. Once you open multiple orders the breakeven line becomes a lighthouse in the storm. I have a lot of templates but this ExpZeroline is the only indicator that is present in all of them.
Hi Zen. I´m back from my vacation. Can you please point me to this breakeven line indi? Can´t seem to find it...

Thanks.

Hi Dewey,

Could you share your volume spread analysis VSA indicators and templates used. It could be better that you show us the picture how you take the trade.

Thanks in advance.
