Hi, tommaso After tested the new updated with some new function. Encounter an error with PartCloseAsSecondTP: when activate PartCloseAsSecondTP, all the trailing stop functions(such jumpstep, SLMinDistanceToPrice or ATRforSLMindistanceToPrice set true) will not work. once deactivated it, all that start to kick in. I need to manually turn on and off in order to lock in some profit if I want to use PartCloseAsSecondTP function. could you please to adjust that. There is time for SL to set in: (if using PartCloseAsSecondTP function) 1) if SetBEonPartCloseFirstTP – true and SetSLToFirstTP – false, then when PartCloseAsFirstTP reached. SL will set in at BEprofit area, But it will stay there no matter how price advance further; 2) or if SetSLToFirstTP – true, when PartCloseAsSecondTP reached, SL will set in at FirstTP area, also it will stay there forever. Another idea, I find it might be useful to add target price point and range on TP or PartCloseAsFirstTP/SecondTP. For example: PartCloseSecondTpPips: (if 0 means disable) PartCloseSecondTpPrice:( for example 1.45000 ) PartCloseSecondTpRange:(i.e. set 10pips meaning 10pips to 1.45000, then Tp will take place at 1.45100 or 1.44900) When study previous day/week price pattern, fibratio, HighLow, Trendline, Support/Resistant, roundNo. etc. there are special price point could become profit-target or support area. Those area takes time to reach or breakout. I would like to bank my profit as soon as I can, void crowding out. Using Pips is ok, but lack of flexibility, sometime it is hard to measure! Welcome any advice! Regards, Rick |

Hi Tommaso, first of all: thank you for your trademanager EAs. Works fine for me for single trades so far. I need some help with stacked trades. I read the thread and saw that there were already some questions regarding JumpingSL. Probably I have a misunderstanding of the lot of settings and how they depend on each other. What I would like to do is to place stacked trades as Bob suggests: first trade at X, second pending at X+20, third X+40, etc. No SL for the first trade. But instead of a static TP at 30 pips I would like to leave the first trade open. As soon as price reaches X+40, the third trade is opened, and SL of the first rade should be moved to X+20. Now we have 3 open trades. When price reaches X+60, another trade is opened and SL for the first 2 trades is moved to X+40. Maybe there's a TP at X+100, where all trades get closed. If X+100 is not reached, all trades would be closed at X+80. Is this already possible and could you give me some hints, please? Thank you very much in advance, Thomas |

As I wrote before the JS/BE functions are disabled with the secondTP PartClose function , the only optional would be adding a PartClose function that closes with BE and every JS step part, as an alternative optional. As I do not want to complicate this EA more, for the second partclose function, as I have doubts it is for much other users a benefit. Cheers Tommaso |

Hi, Tommaso Thank you for your reply. I do apologise here, to complicate this EA is not my intention. I do agree with you if the PartClose Second function is restricted by the functionality within the EA, then it is not much benefit to users. Anyway, thanks for your great work on this EA! Happy trading! Rick |

Hi Milanese and Roger, Thanks also to Roger for his comments concerning the APTM. In the APTM-thread I did use the term “trading hour”, in sense of time-based order functionalities in general, but not quite in the sense Roger did describe it for defining open- or exit-times, which is very welcome. By using a trade-manager, such as the HPEA, it sometimes might be useful to omit or specify times for a defined period (from …. to), when trading should be allowed or not (for opening orders). It is similar, what we´d do by discrete trading intraday. Although the following feature is part of personal strategies and philosophies, in addition there are further EAs, which use a defined runtime after opening an order, within this period the order should have made profit or locked in profit or otherwise have to be closed just in time in the worst case. Let me talk still something by experience. Intraday we have to consider the Asian-channel, the London open, NYSE open , Chicago open and news-times, where vola frequently performs in different manner. For further clarification, please refer to the link: http://www.forex-tribe.com/Forex-Volatility.php The a.m. time-based-functions should not seen as a request, only for further inspiration by other user requests. Further on I´d like to ask for assistance and comments, if followers use the ATR-function for stacking-level, SL and TP, also partial close? It is because of the ATR dynamic resp. volatility, but up to now, I did not yet find a proper display, except of the standard- or MTF-ATR-indicator and a numerical ATR-display like the attached one (however without multiplier calculation). In addition the timeframe, period and multiplier has to be considered and adjusted by default. By adjusting the ATR-OOTB-settings, it is difficult to supervise the ATR-dynamic resp. to trail the actual performance to optimize and find the right settings. It is like sailing in the frog without RADAR, even some levels are displayed. Maybe there is a possibility to show the ATR-values in the user-display (dashboard), what the EA calculates actually in pips, depending by the ATR-defaults, also for TP, which is still missing in the HP-dashboard. That might be helpful. In summary let me mention, that not the ATR-defaults and optimization are a serious problem for me, it is a matter of experience during intraday, rather to get visible what ATR-values actually the EA use. It is also clear to me, that the faster timeframes < H4 (240 = OOTB) will cause testing, simulation and fine adjustments. Might be nonsense, I bother with. Moving on … Trade well friends Over60 |

Hi T, 1. Would second Over60's request to show more ATR -centric info in the EA feedback... I am also evaluating w/r ATR based values lead to better results than simply numeric pip values... 2. I would like to caution though that this EA is quickly becoming an unwieldy monster with so many options that newcomers will be hard-pressed to figure out how to use it... Maybe you could consider to split out a brain-storming thread for experimental versions.. 3. On the same note, as many of the requests for additional functionality were made by Over60 - would he be so kind to give a brief introduction of his trading method - I am really curious for a while now... Cheers / Mop PS: Made the attached indicator a while ago -maybe useful for others as well... |

Hi Mop, I will with the next update make the ATR info more informative in the user-display, it is not planed to make the EA more complicated, as I mentioned before. And thanks for the indicator I am sure it is for many useful! Cheers Tommaso |
