I am not sure this is helpful for anyone but I post it anyway:

It is an update to Bob's spreadsheet in post one that shows the volatility of currency pairs. It automatically updates from the same page that Bob took the original. The workbook opens up to two buttons, the first is an update button and the second is to bypass the update and is self explanatory. The workbook updates itself on loading anyway so I am not sure the update button is required.

Volatility is calculated on 12 months moving average using weekly data and displaying average daily pips per pair. I added a second worksheet for those that like to trade basket pairs and is also updated at the same time as the main list.

I can only test the workbook in Excel 2010 at this point so I would like some feedback if you are using any other version of Excel. I include an Excel 97-2003 version but as I said, not able to test it.

Kind regards
RM

Just ignore it, I actually updated my flash and the error is still there. The flash player is used on that site to display graphs. There is no need for our purpose.

I asked the broker and it turns out that my criminal doesn't allow pending orders too close to the current price.... Is there a way to get around that ? any idea?

Change broker..That is the only way.. I can place a stop next to my bid/ask with no issues. Do your research. Ask the broker how close you can enter a buy stop / sell stop to the current bid/ask... If broker requires more than 1 pip, then that is the wrong broker to be dealing with.

+1
Your broker probably doesn't allow a TP or SL set to close as well....

Post subject:  matrix/delta

hello,

Is anyone using matrix/delta solves with this system? Would love to chat about it if so. Here, for example are my high/low points for GBP/USD on the hourly chart for this week. The trade signals of 10.7 match very nicely. (Eastern Time Zone btw).

Still getting used to this new forum and all the settings. I will explain the chart I included in a brief hand-wavey kind of way to begin with. It is based on the work of the Delta Method and the Market Matrix. The main concept is that everything is ordered in cycles. Although prices have an order, the main order is time. These cycles repeat - every market has it's own time order that repeats consistently whether very short term all the way to very long term.

The chart I included is the weekly time high/low order for GBP/USD. Other markets will have their own unique high/low time order. The chart doesn't say anything about price. Just what is the time to expect each point. Since it's a cycle, I made up this chart well before this week.

What intrigues me is to come to the chart near the expected times to look for a signal and then to stay in the trade until the next expected signal. I'm seeing a nice correlation for this week (at least). I have not yet compared with other weeks and other pairs. I will post another chart once the market closes this week.

I wanted to show you how the GBP/USD chart compared with the Matrix time chart for the week. The top chart with the red numbers shows the expected high/low points through the week. This chart was done ahead of time before the market opened for the week. The lower chart is how the market actually played out. The blue numbers are the actual high/low points for the expected time period. You can see that most of them fell well within the expected time. #2, #10, #12 are off. I expected some variability. While I was able to produce the chart looking at previous cycles and averaging their high/low points, I only had 4 cycles to do this from. That's all my broker provides for historical data. If I had more cycles to average, a more accurate picture would result. But in any case, I think you can see things match quite nicely. I now add this week's chart to the average and will update the chart for the next time this cycle happens.

But the interesting thing to me is how the 10.7 indicators can be used with this. I've marked 4 orange trade signals from a - d. My understanding of the system is that only short trades would be taken since the price is below the yellow line. And trades are taken when the red, yellow are down and the blue line is heading down across 10 - 30. You can see a is at the 1 high point. b is at 7. c is just before 9. And d is at 11. The other high points at 3 and 5 would not be taken because the indicators did not signal then.

The signals to get out of the trades match the expected low points. So there is also an expected length that the trade would take.

I trade using longer timeframe Matrix solutions. I've only recently begun investigating how shorter term cycles can be combined with other indicators. I really like what I see with 10.7 and hope this possibly adds some helpful info.
