Hello Leon, First of all many thanks to Steve and his crew for this amazing forum. Leon thank you for your time and effort to help others. I was thinking about a kind of basket and close the basket when reach say 300-500 pips and then start again. Then the bad trades are gone with the wastewater. Best regards Jan [/quote] If you had cut the overall basket at 1500 pips you would wait for a fresh signal and the likelyhood is that the ea will open a trade on a fresh signal in the direction of the current signal, but if the ea is opening a trade towards the end of a wave you will sit with a trade that is going to give you losses. It is impossible to control if you are trading multiple pairs. The ea is dumb and it only does what we tell it to do. I wait for the signal to play out in the opposite direction before I let it close. It is my best chance at this point.

Hi Jan and everyone, I am still closing on opposite signal, but by all means close on a 300 to 500 pips basket. Sure, it will prevent profitable trades going into the wastewater. However just bear in mind, if your trades are opened towards the end of a run or cycle you might go into a deep drawdown before the opposite signal is given and your trades are closed in a loss. In the end the two methods will probably come to the same thing. PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER Ok so here is where I am at. In the past couple of months I have tried various methods around my system and Steve has hinted in the past, throwing peaky into the mix. Well I started this some time mid december and must say that I am seeing nice results. I think I am somewhere close to where I want to be with Tdesk and Steve's Desky trading partner Ea. I have really tried with the STO7 TD indicator and find that I always have to change my chart timeframes for it to refresh and unfortunately had alot of unwanted signals and trades opened and so I have gone back to our tried and tested Baluda's superslope on the daily timeframe. Of course this has worked fine in my manual trading, but my goal is to go fully automated. I am in a happy place with my Rsi indicator which captures open and closed candles and all must line up from the 15 min to daily time frame. Combine this with Hgi, SS, Ma cross on the 15min t/frame and peaky 1Hr 1682 candles ago I believe that I have a solid system. In summary: I have come close to an end with my changes. I have thought about the possibility of adding the 4hr timeframe on Steve's Peak Hilo Td indicator. Another possibilty is to add the weekly timeframe with Rsi cross Td v2 indicator. Apart from the above possible changes in future, this is what I will grind out for the year. Chart template: Your template should look like this. Ensure you have all the indicators in the indicator window and Steve's Peak Hilo Td indicator. TDesk Master Dash board set: TDesk Trading Partner Ea set: To close off, I will be posting very little changes. Hi Luipogi, Yes it is the same Ma Td indicator from Bodavid. Your dash looks fine except Steve's peak hilo indicator which must show only the 1hr timeframe. Leon, Many thanks for this update. I'm glad you saw that STO7 needed TF changes to update, because I had seen something similar - closing and re-opening the platform caused a surge of closed trades. I have heard from people who understand these things that it's a problem with the way Empty4 treats MTF indicators, so that a sell signal on D1 won't/can't change to a buy until the D1 candle completes, even if there has been a big price move up during the day so as to make the end-of-day signal most likely to be a buy. Your new setup also uses a MTF indicator, so unless someone has coded a workaround into it, I think we may still be in trouble with the same issue. Just my 2c - and I hope I'm wrong. |

This shouldn't be the case the way I coded TD V2 indicators. Would you advice me how to reproduce the behaviour you mean with STO7 TD V2, please. Cheers Thomas |

Thanks Thomas, that's good. With STO7 TD V2, when I occasionally had to close and re-start the platform, I would sometimes, not always, see that several or many trades closed immediately as the platform restarted. To reproduce what I saw, I suggest re-starting a platform with open trades once a day, and note the change in Balance, Equity and Account History. In 2 or 3 days, I'd be confident you would see trades closing immediately, and I guess that's due to the STO7 indicator re-drawing. |

Hello Leon Many Thanks for the update. I tried many times but the TDeskUltimate.tpl did not load the 2ma cross indicator. So I finally had to add it to the template manually. I made this settings for it. is that correct? Thank you |
