Yes, Snowman, I am going to reread them as well. I have been thinking about just simply holding the pair until it the slope value drops below .8, but I have no experience doing that, so, don't know how valid that would be. Perhaps, a combination of slope value and major pivot levels. Some of the pairs that really moved this week - GbpCad, EurAud, AudChf, EurCad still have slope values above 1 and are still sitting close to their lows. A good case can be made that they are very stretched and in need of consolidation and must retrace, but, I wonder, with slope levels that high, maybe it their rate of descent will have to slow first before they start turning which would mean that they still have further to go and are unlikely to suddenly reverse. V bottoms and tops are rare. Anyway, something to think about and if anyone with more experience with these slope values could weigh in, I would appreciate it.

I think if you are holding for longer term and are not a quick in out kind of guy then my suggestion is to hold it till on daily price gets to ranging level and by that I mean when it closes above MA 5.1 (blue line). I think Bob's booklet talks about that and call trending market when price if above/below the blue MA line.

can anyone tell me how shellynow triger the trades? i have read the trading rules from post 1 but i don't understand how shellynow starts to place their trade? are they market order? does shellynow place her trades immediately after we 'activate' the EA?

Hi ya,

ShelleyNow triggers the trade/s the moment you send it to the chart, you choose the pairs you want to Buy or Sell and add them to the 'Pairs to Buy' and 'Pairs to Sell' input boxes and when you are ready for those trades to go live you fire ShelleyNow and it creates your basket from those pairs.

I just took a counter-trend basket. Selling all my buy pairs and buying all my short pairs. This is not part of the strategy so I don't suggest doing this, I'm just testing..

Guys I made a thread yesterday and I'm not sure if maybe I haven't explained myself well or it's a bit hidden in the sub-forum. I'd really appreciate a bit of feedback on what I wrote as I believe it could be the answer to working out what the SL and TP for the baskets OR an individual 10.2 trade should be. I like the countertrend idea, the pairs are really stretched. I 'm sticking to the strat - put on a small basket with only those that retraced to the 5ma and whose spreads aren't too big. Staying very conservative this am.
So far Euraud short
Eurusd short
Audchf long
+22 pips atm

Good luck. I've closed that counter-trend basket for -140 pips. My account grew by 7% this week. Another great week for the baskets. Catch you all over the weekend, signing out.

Coming to the end of my first week with baskets - only put on three 7 pair baskets and am up over 2% for the week. Have a nice weekend, Jemook

Out breakeven on this last basket - no sense in trying to push it on a friday

Ok, couldn't resist those fat tma values so I put on another half basket of my favorites -
Eurusd
Eurgbp
Usdchf
UsdCad - slope value neutral, thought this might be ripe for move back up but, so far, not happening

+70 pips atm
