I have used it since then to great advantage.

Yea, I blew 2 accounts while growing, worth $15000 EACH. My trading finally got better when I was able to set my stops far enough back. I learned that a stoploss should be put to prevent catastropic occourance only, then my trading finally turned around. My first attempt was with a company called Premiere trade....What a crock? It was a system based on the 89 SMA envelope. Long trades Above the envelope and shorts below the envelope. The envelope itself was no mans land. Dont know what happened but I heard the owner, James Dicks, was being sued for not honoring his gaurantee. Anyway, Im better now and a lot happier.

I was dicking around with a demo account and randomly opened and closed trades, because I knew virtually nothing about trading. At some point I had 1 buy lot EURUSD open, and the price took off. The pair travelled over 300 pips in what felt like a matter of minutes [could have been hours], and my account grew $3.000,-

At that moment I realised there was a LOT of money available, if one only found a way to get their hands on it [and keep it]. Since then I blew my share of accounts [and $$$] but kept liking the game. Tried all sorts of EA's, both commercial and specially written for me that made profit but in the end gave it all back, including my deposits.

Finally, after reading Bob's 10.2 something in my head connected and blew a spark. Since then the only losses I had were me trying to thinker with the system. After I realised there is nothing to thinker with, profits are constant 2-3% a day, and last week I had a blast with the JPY.

THANK YOU BOB!!

Hi Jim,

Anyone selling a "system" is a fraud in my opinion. If you have a way to make money you will not sell it or rent etc... I see so many people selling systems that don't work or work for a short time under certain conditions before blowing up... Friends of mine use to come to be about the latest and greatest system that was a sure winner or even worse a black-box system that the owner would see but not explain. I ALWAYS told them it will not work in the long run.... Learning to trade is a skill and until we have AI's(artificial intelligence) that can emulate our neocortex(company call Numenta is coming close) I would stay away from so call systems... :)

hello Bob and readers,
I see you all praising bob's way of trading but as i am new to this forum i must say i am a bit confused here. I read booklets for 10.3 and 10.4 but even if i get the taste of it is not really clear. Which TF to trade what?
The indi on first pages of thread are quite different than what i see on the charts you are posting....
Which version are you trading ?
Can you trade 4H (10.4?) long term and 1H (10.3?) short term on the same chart ?
If yes where are the latest indi ?
etc etc
I am totally lost between 10.2 10.3 10.4 the old 5.xx and now it looks like there is a 10.5 also.
Tons of different indis, time frame, how do you guys are you trading this ?

I might look like dumb for you guys following bob advices for a long time but believe me all this is a bit confusing for a newcomer.
These threads looks very interesting but i would like to know where to start and not reading tree 400 pages old threads for nothing.

Could someone summarize a bit please.

Thanks for you help ;)

Only you can sort this out for yourself:
  • forget what you think you already know:
  • read post 1 here.
  • read the pdf in post 1.
  • skim through the thread studying Bob's charts.
Take your time; this cannot be rushed.

The go to Captain Jack's thread (linked in post 1) and:
  • read the first 100 pages of the thread slowly.
  • pay attention to every one of CJ's charts.
  • it will quickly become obvious whom the other really clever and knowledgeable contributors are; study their charts as well.
  • skip to the last 20 pages pr sp tp see what has been happening more recently.
I reckon this little lot will take you a week. At the end, your thought processes and your trading will be transformed.

Good luck.

:D
Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.

Egads. Is this guy for real? The name of the thread is 10.4. What does 10.3, 5.0, 10.0 etc. have to do with 10.4. Go read the booklet page 1 post 1. If you are still confused after reading the book you need to seriously find another career or read the book again until you do. If it still confusing and you want to learn Forex--go to babypips.com and take their course. You will then know the very basics and then try reading 10.4. 10.4 assumes you know the difference between a 4H chart and a 1H chart, moving average from MACD. If you dont know that you need to take the course.

Bob when you get a winning basket like you had last night at the time you close out your trades do you also close the looser at the same time even if they have not hit the 240? Or are the looser you mention just the second or third entries to you winners? Just curious cause I have been sitting on a loosing eurcad trade for several days now and I could close it out and still be up with the other trades, but at the same time it is making positive interest. The trade was crossing back below the 240 at the time I entered it and I have my stop above the highs. Thanks
