Has anyone got an idea why this is happening?

Previously I was running the 1.1.07 on Alpari (and readings were all fine) with MPTP and the results were stunning, until I relised that the opened hedged trades had no hard TP and SL so this gave a bit of a drawdown, but still up £1000ish for ten days of trading on a £5K demo account 2% risk.
I'm afraid it is almost certainly a history issue. There were different scripts linked in the post I made - maybe try the other one. OR just to check - find a pair with D1 slope = 0 and open a D1 chart, zoom out as far as you can and then hold down the HOME key for 20 seconds. If this solves it for that pair then it is definitely a history issue so you could do this for all pairs or try the "other" script.

Cheers,
Dave.

I'm a visual guy, and was a happy bunny the day I found that I could display the spread visually in Empty4, without any indicators.

Press F8 to get to chart properties. Under the Colors tab, set the colour of the ask line. I like to set it to the same as the price line, which is "Grid".

Under the Common tab, tick "Show ask line".

It seems 1.1.7 took a sell when everything said to buy. This is wrong, right?

Red arrow shows time and price of sell trade, red cross shows SL.

Yes, I know I'm a couple of versions behind. Gonna fix that soon.

SUGGESTION:
Since there are 3 ways to use this bot can we all try to be specific when we post results and problems by listing the major setting (2, 2a, both) as well as the version( 1.7, 1.10 etc) when we post. Obviously it would be cumbersome to post an entire set file unless requested but the abbreviated info mentioned would be helpful for those of us such as myself who are ESP challenged.

The 30pip spread for EURNZD is probably correct so should be no trade. There are a number of agencies who give 1-3 pip on 'majors' but NZD pairs are 25-40 pip spreads. You have to pick who you deal with when using basket style trading or simply remove those pairs. I found this out and made a little routine (attached) to list spreads & digits - put on a plain black window.
Sorry but it isn't correct - certainly not on FxOpen. imo anyone trading (or probably choosing not to trade) as the criminal has a 30+ pip spread on anything but really exotic stuff like USDZAR must be crazy. I checked the live spreads for AUDNZD on FXOpen and it was in the 2 to 3 pips range - see attached live spreads from MyFXBook - even those criminals like TradeFort with huge fixed spreads don't get that high on the likes of AUD/NZD, EUR/NZD etc
spotdespot - if you look at image below you see why I mentioned above. What I said is exactly what some do. Two different Empty4 sources started same 3 trades at same time (AUDCAD was already open). One -9 pip (init spread) the other [YTFX] -41 pip (init spread) as we discovered they had >30pip spreads on EURNZD & GBPNZD. Hardly 'exotics' but sucking you in with small (0.5-2) spreads on "majors". On YTFX account-type page they reduced some spreads considerably after I sent them this image (& dropped them) 3mths ago, but currently AUDNZD (av 10), EURNZD, NZDCAD (av 8.3), GBPNZD (av 7.6) - can be 25-30.
Watch them and those like them. As I said be careful with multipair type trading!

I wonder why this EURCAD buy was taken? Looks like it was based on yesterday's DP... :?

EDIT: Should have specified, I'm using 10.2=false, 10.2a=true.

I think we're going round in circles here. I know what you're saying and I know it happens with some brokers (and if it did happen I would move brokers) but we are talking about FxOpen ECN - this just doesn't happen. As I said originally - in this case - I believe it is just mixing up pips and points.

BTW - 10 pip spread for AUDNZD is outrageous imo - one of the reasons Steve auto-translates br0ker to broker.

Anyway we'd better stop cluttering the thread! ;)

Cheers,
Dave.

Post subject:  Re: MultiBob, a multi symbol NB10.2(a) autotrader

Hello All,

Running MB v 1.1.10 since yesterday. $20,000 demo. OOTB settings including 2% risk. The only change I have made is turning 10.2a to "true'.

So far I have mixed results. Closed negative trades ($1,277). Closed positive trades $1,310.

Six positions in trade with a positive equity of $58 at Friday close.

Question: Does running 10.2 and 10.2a cause a conflict? If so, I have not noticed one at this point.

Have a great weekend.

William
