omg Goldddd. nobody could feel monetary figure wise worse than John Paulson (i guess). its nuttttzzzzzzz (EUM. more like beggar thy Cyprus or whatever reason...) tonnes of gold pawnshops going to go...smokes. edit:meanwhile still waiting for EURJPY to go down to 127.3! you think the currencies/JPY falling apart? you kidding me? Don't forget though that negative real yields, outrageous monetary policies and monstrous central banks balance sheet growth are not drivers of long term bearishness on gold....and since the BOJ is the money printer -in-chief from here onwards, long gold vs yen (Long xauusd & long usdjpy) is a compelling buy once this panic correction is over.... |

AUS and NZD were played HEAVY as buys selling YEN. Checkout the straight lines on the NZDJPY Chart. That ain't natural movement. So they are getting KILLED while the YEN trade retraces. Remember your CSS chart showing NZD as the strongest pair... We aren't the only ones looking at such things. In addition we have AUD tied heavily to Gold. Which is also getting destroyed. Plus AUD had medium bad news earlier which is an excuse to pummel it further. We have a TON of weak longs in JPY pairs. Everyone was thinking FREE MONEY and needs to be reminded that nothing is for free. Charts like this with straight lines and parabolic moves ALWAYS correct. Macro view is still likely correct... just have to shake the tree a little and collect.  Two bits. But really there was only one trade last couple weeks it has all been Yen. It still is. They just added Gold to the mix. Mike |

Dang I need to quit giving advice. Good thing I trade small lots or I would have been wiped. aud/jpy reaching 240 line. Gold crashing--who would believe and predict that one. Biggest drops in over 40 years. Report at FF N. Korea to start military actions immediately: No other news on that. Two bombs went off in Boston at the marathon. Folks I have no idea what is going on out there and why. Indis are useless and I cant ever remember a monday like this. Back to bed. |

Bob. It is a great Monday. Unless you are long Yen long Gold . Your system kept you out of this blood bath. MM kept you safe. You took profits on the way up. That is perfect. The only non 10.4 trade, imho was your call at the bottom of this move which was correct.Buying it on the way down was probably a little aggressive. But I saw you back off before the true pain set in. Pretty good chance it turns around your 240, or earlier. Not many peeker trades to worry about on moves like these. If they keep moving these kind of distances. I'll be missing a whole lot more sleep. Mike |

Yes this does seem to be unnatural, Straight up and straight down. Think AUD Monetary Policy Meeting Minutes will slow it down or accelerate it? |
