For me i found that using 4H and 1D time frames less noise and can trade them .I just add on daily frame lines where the price retrace and follow all rules.
My max DD was -90 pips

Fahedksa,

Well Done, now you are getting the Scope of things, it's Easier to Master Naked Trading on a Higher Time Frame and then Drop Down to the Lower M15 Time Frame when you have Had Enough Chart Time, this will give you more Confidence and Also Prove that you Know what you are Doing. :D :D :D
Keep it up....

Happy Trading Y'all

Kwann, you draw the 2.5 day second peak of the M even though it did not trade to it?
kwanann wrote:@monty

i actually missed this one, marked out this chart about 12 hours ago (ie at the end of the leg), by the time i saw it.. well you get the picture

@gertje

This is my latest experiment, double PA lines, the blue ones are based off a higher consolidation of price move. the small yellow lines are the intra day moves. i read off the M15 chart and use the show period separators to indicate when is a new day. The lines are typically drawn from peak high to peak low or vice versa. BLUE lines are new, i've been working on yellow lines for the past month

The FIRST line MUST be at least the ADR of the pair, e.g GU has ADR of approximately 100pips +- 25pips. This move should start from either a straightaway, M or Stop Hunt formation. It would be nice if there is a stop hunt in between the move for the intra day. This line does not end when the day ends, neither does it start when the day starts, its just from a peak to the opposite peak

The second line, is the fuzzy one, this is the one where the MM is not in play. So the line it may or may not be clear in its direction, it can go all over the place. This must not be mixed up with "holding the cross" (Look at the middle portion between the 2 lines http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... &mode=view). this line typically ends with a reversal pattern back into where L1 ends

The third line.. well is the 3rd line, the range of the 3rd line needs to be about the same as the first line or slightly more

From the first to third line, it should take at least 2.5 days or more, depending on the move and what the MM is up to. If you were to draw the range from the first line to last line, it should be at least 2xADR of the pair

@totty
I cannot remember the chart i posted, but i'm rather selective of my trades, it also depends on whether i was in front of the screen at that time, chances are no i'm not. Hindsight can be quite disturbing at times

As of time of writing, all yen pairs just went for a nice stop hunt, hit all those nice 100 buyers.. go figure where its going next 8-)

Edit: oops, wrong on the yen, too early

With JPY pairs, bias is up with fundamentals, but you've got to have real conviction to get amongst the choppy price action, I'll probably stay out, could be a lot more manipulation. If they drop it back down again, may enter on the retrace.

USDJPY - 3 levels up completed, pins on the 1H chart, and at the nice round number of 100. In fact most Yen pairs look very similar. Fox may grab a few more longs before he acts, but this sure seems like nice set up to go long yen.

Yup on my long term demo, i'm selling cad yen since that generates +ve swap

Took some trades off buying yen today, short scalps. So end up i'm around nett 0 for yen trades

Not going to see my screen possibly until after NFP so leaving some on the table and letting them run,

happy news trading everyone, green pips to all!

Before i go, just want to post something really interesting

Here's my markup on the GBPUSD. Got long here, but PA may still be choppy, so have moved SL to BE.
Got a W on yesterdays Breakout level.

EDIT: In fact just closed the trade for a nice profit. Reason is looking at volume, there is both supply and demand entering, so will take what's given, don't mind if price goes either way, what matters is taking the profit. :D

Hmm probably just me, that GU looks like completion of fake W, pin bars indicating time to go short, guessing it might hit 1.564 or 1.565 before reversing maybe.. either way.. it will reverse..

Interesting indeed.

Still find myself looking at the bars instead of behind the screen.
It's hard to dis-attach from whats presented and read the intent instead of price movement.

Looked back at some charts last night and could easily see the W's and M's after the Asian session. After the fact when you know the outcome it's nothing. Doing it live as the bars form however.... :)

Reading the levels is key, although having this bias can be a handicap. Still in some sells on EURUSD and GBPUSD from yesterday where my bias was short and I was only looking for short set-ups.
.
I just use that as a refernce for L3 behavior, when i see that then its L3, its all over the place you just need to see

As for GU, you meant something like this? 8-)
All times are UTC Page 332 of 1600
