so we knew to look for euro strength. so we had to wait. but we got it. it was fast. but possible. eurusd (done) eurcad (done) euraud needs to slow down - no trade. eurnzd also needs to slow down -no trade. and as you can see the D1 CSS at this point shows that suspect strength in AUD symbol has indeed shown its full hand today. with NZD strength coming in too. if you went on to the next strong sloped pair you would have seen the JPY pairs. applying the same mental framework as the euro you would locate trades in GBPJPY CADJPY USDJPY CAD D1CSS hugely downsloped. USD D1CSS was also established downsloped. GBP was not downsloped. i have an account that only can trade GBPJPY/EURJPY so i chose GBPJPY in this example. curious where TP is? aim for the next line. the midweeklypivot lines included. there is a nuance. you have to see the market slow down. this is shown in the size of the candles on 4H.(a nuance u need to know?) Bob mentions that its like driving a car. the market needs to slow down before it can reverse. this will increase your probability of continuing the trend from the 240line. 10.4's core is 240line + RSI2pinned. D1 css established slopes highlights to us what is the feel of the market(we are trading expecting the slope to carry on: increases our probabilities). can D1 css be wrong? yes it can be. it takes 3-4days sometimes if trends do change(we just came from Yen weakness into Yen strength and it took 1 week to sort out). it is a stable mental framework. |

Hello Nico, i don't quite agree with your assesment of D1 css. Though i don't trade the 10.4 , i do use the D1 Css, albeit a little different way. Instead of the 240 ma, i let the currencies having opposite slopes on D1 css decide the pair and it's trend. Thereon, the show begins for that pair and uptill then, it may lie idle not matter what the 240 ma says. I remember Bob advocating to use top 2 with bottom 2 on this D1 css. So that clearly puts one in the lead with those pairs along with the loaded gun (pinned rsi). I too have borrowed this loaded gun style to use as a filter for my pairs. So it's not correct to say that it's lagging. If the market has mood swings one too many, should it not be reflected in the indi? Sometime back i did some work on testing this very thing and compared the D1 CSS to 1. Currency indices on SigTrader platform and 2. MACD nrp mtf Css (provided in the DBM thread). With the second one, the curves matched very well, almost identical; and with the first, it gave a slightly leading edge most of the times and if i took it down to H4, there the curves matched better. If i do that study another time, i'll make sure to record more but here's a small example of USD. 1. Usd D1 Css; 2. Usd D1 Macd nrp mtf css; 3. Usdlfx (index) D1 candles on Sig Empty4. Another case in point is that one is not using the indi as a sole criteria for trade. When combining it with other parameters, we have a winning combo, imo. Regards, |

I'm not sure exactly why you entered a buy trade here. On my broker it looks like your trade opened well above the WP on the 3AM EST candle. The H4 CSS may have had a gold bar but the AUD was converging with the GBP fairly sharply indicating a change in direction. The RSI had just hit bottom and had not flattened out. The pair was above the 240 so this looks like a CT trade below the WP to me. |

There may have been a legit peaker trade on this pair. But RSI wasn't flat until well below DP. I can only see two bars with your price. One does have 1H CSS gold... A little more patience letting RSI flatten may have helped. But you will get tagged in occasionally. 1H CSS went red to get you out if you choose to go that route. The chart itself was SCREAMING short. Double top. Lower High. 2 1 hour pins.... into WMR2. You had 2 hours to exit with a profit ~25 pips or at least set it to BE. They aren't all winners, and today pretty much the entire board went against the 240. Not much you could do. Exact time on the entry would be nice or just show the trade. I am assuming ~08:00 Cowboy IBFX was the entry bar. Mike |

Yesterday ended up being a big retracement day. All across the board currencies have run out to the S1/R1 on the weekly pivots. Normally prices dont run outside those lines for long so I am getting ready for action. I see a lot of complaining and for those of you that want to promote CJ thread go back and write on his thread. This thread is for 10.4 trading and if you think he is so great, and he is a good trader and system. He started his own thread for discussing his trades. I made 65% of my account last month so if you think I am making any major changes I am not. If you trade proper MM you dont blow accounts. I dont care what system you use, you hang onto losing trades, trade too big of lots to account size, trade high leverage, etc. you are asking to lose your money. Read a good article last night, jpy bond buying is going to happen again this month. BOJ is changing its strategy some. Instead of 8 buying sessions they are going to 10. So no matter what your indis say get ready to load up because they are committed to their program. When the Koreans complained to the BOJ about their program they basically told them to deal with it. |
