It's because he doesn't use the MTF MACD - he just uses larger TMA slow and fast levels on the current TF version. Read back in the thread a bit - they don't map to H4 equivalent anyway if I remember correctly.
Dave you are right, it will show in this way different results from a real MTF calculation, not much but different..

Hi Tommaso - I meant more that his settings don't actually match to 10,5 on a higher timeframe. So if you wanted to replicate HTF H4 on M15 it would be 240/15 = 16 so 160 and 80. He has:
I use two DL MACD HURST indicators (periods 30/60 and 120/240). At least one must be blue for longs and red for shorts.

The reason I use the orignal DL MACD HURST rather than MTF is just that it is that litle bit more sensitive i.e. it is adjusting based on price action 1 period at a time rather than in blocks which is also why it is smoother. Also not limited to the Empty4 timeframes.. can choose any period.

Quick update.. 151 pips so far this week live on M15 .. and found my first H4 trade so attached screenshot. Let's see how she does :)

Great job TJF.

What does your daily routine look like when you first start your day? For example, I skim thru all the D1 charts and if ADX isn't climbing I close it. Then I have a small list of pairs to watch for the day.

To be honest I am still figuring out a daily routine since this is my first month day trading from home rather than working :jump:

I don't mind whether a pair is ranging or trending though.. if there's not much movement on the highertimeframe I'll just look at M5/M15 and shoot for 5-10pip moves.

I do checkout the economic calendar before I start though and keep this open always. I use: http://www.myfxbook.com/forex-economic-calendar

When I have the discipline to sit down all morning and trade I watch 15pairs and when I don't .. I have the HGI signals to my mobile.

How long have you been trading for?

Only since September. This is how my H1 chart is currently set up, although I am unsure how I want to use the matrix exactly. I may pull it off my charts
