I'm new here and have read most of the manual. I plan to re-read it today. My newb question is about the template. The Object next to the labels are not updating. I tried the template on two platforms to see if it was a suffix issue, but that does not appear to be the issue.
It's probably something simple. Thanks for any help.

I have started using the HGI V17.00 indicator and looking at the Red & Green Trend Arrows only.
I noticed today that A Red Trend Arrow was reported and appeared on the current bar of my chart as it should.
After an hour or so, no further Arrows had appeared and thinking that maybe the Indicator had become corrupted in some way, I deleted it from my chart and dropped the original back on.
The Red Trend Arrow that was there previously had now gone, but most of the previous arrows were still there.
I continued testing and on one chart there were no Trend Arrows visible. Refreshing the HGI indicator made Arrows appear.
My question is this
Is the HGI indicator allowed to change Arrows in response to BACK data?
If the current Bar has a Down Trend arrow on it, should that Down Trend Arrow remain there so that you can see what happened or can it just change as the back data indicated that it was not really a down trend.

the effects you discribed, are caused by the tma component inside of the HGI calculations and are in past disussed in the HGI thread, take you the time to read the HGI thread for better understanding, how the indicator operates...

So for some reason I am having a brain fart and cannot seem to get the HGI indi loaded. All the other indis and templates from the zip file have loaded sweet, it's just the HGI that I am having dramas with. I have even resorted to opening demo accounts with other brokers to see if anything went astray with my own broker, but no joy, and have tried downloading the indi via other computers and still no luck. One thing I have noticed is the downloaded file's ( I have tried both versions on the front page of the HGI thread ) appear as a blank light grey icon, were as the successful files have the Empty4 "4" icon?
if someone can shed some light on my problem, many good vibes will flow your way!

Did you place the .ex4 file into the \Indicators folder and restart Empty4?
The icon of an indicator for which you have the .mq4 file looks like:
Selection_072.jpg
Whereas the icon of an indicator where the .mq4 is not present looks like:
Selection_074.jpg
Do you notice the little blue '+' sign on the second one?
