Here is a good example of how a trade is handled. 1. A buy trade was opened 102.115 because the high strength setting in the EA was set to 4 and when the EA was launched, or the high strength had hit 4 or higher a buy was taken. 2. The trade started to go bad as price fell. It hit the hedge level of 100 pips below the buy and the hedge strength was below -1, so we opened a sell trade. Price is still falling and the hedge strength is now at -3 and the main trade strength is still above +3. We will hold the buy and sell until either main trade falls below 3 at which time, we will close the buy. We will hold the hedge until the hedge strength hits +1 and then we will close it. 3. Maybe you should just try it to understand!!! LOL If you do try it, be sure to click on the copyright on the Common tab in the EA settings screen. Talk to ya later! |

Hey Dwain, I have a floating profit of 7 percent of my initial balance (2 percent risk on a 10.000$ account). This is just WOW  I´ll close all trades and start again on monday. When you wrote, that you turn Oracle off for the weekend / day, you also ment closing all trades right? Cheers :hi: |

I like to close all trades for the weekend. That way Oracle will take a higher lot on Monday. Be careful of the opening. I always wait 3 hours after market open before I launch .. I am running Oracle on a real account which I started yesterday with $100 (I like to test with real money). Guys and Gals, Oracle increased the balance by 50% as I type this. AND it never went more than 10% into drawdown. edit: I think I'm gonna take what was given and call it week and shut her down. I hope everyone has a great weekend! |

Hi Dwain... I started a run on a new mt5 demo account.... It's positive,but I don't understand why looks so different by yours... I would like to understand better which is the stop or TP criterium, many of these trades I closed manually becouse really high positive.... Some suggestion to understand ....? As mentioned in previous posts, it takes Oracle sometime to synchronize with the market. This is where the hedging part comes in. We will lock in a 100 point loss if a trade moves against us. If the Trade strength falls below 3, The trade with magic number 1 will be closed. In the meantime, if the first trade hasn't gone our way, Oracle has opened a hedge trade to protect us. The hedge trade can be identified by Magic Number 2. The hedge trade is using a lower timeframe, so it will be responding quicker to the reversal. To open a hedge, price has to be 100 points from the first trade AND the hedge strength has to be -1 or more (actually, less than -1 if you are following my logic lol) That's really all there is to this trading strategy. KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF THE EA WHILE IT'S TRADING! It WILL manage the trade for you! That is the whole reason we use EA'S! To take human emotion out of the equation. Once you understand what it is doing, you can touch it. I have added a trailing stop to the hedge trade a few times AFTER the main trade has been closed out and had very good results. I only do that because I understand how it trades. After you have been trading as long as I have .. you will understand this statement. Stops Losses are for losers, and Take Profits are for the scared. I say don't use them! Hedging will protect your account and has the ability to make you money! Once a stop loss has been hit, that money is gone forever! Once a take profit is hit, you have cut yourself out of potential. I love to take a hedge on a profitable trade! Because I was right in the direction of the first trade and what I'm hedging is just a drawback to a fibs percent. And I can make money on the drawback as well! This is my trading style and may not fit yours. Please do not try this at home! LOL Take or leave it. Unless we both started the EA at the same time and with the same broker with the same leverage, of course our results are going to be different. Also, you were touching something you didn't understand. Watch it and don't touch! It's just fake money anyway. Learn from it, study it, think of others things that could help the strategy and by all means, share those thoughts with us .. I'm not here to teach you. I want you to teach me! Dwain edit: This thingy trades on a monthly timeframe .. I promise you that you don't realize how slow it is! But the beauty of it is .. there is NO NOISE at the level of trading. Almost all news events have no effect on that chart. Something to think about .. |

I am really happy that finally I can learn so much .... So I'll try to watch deeper to see the behaviors.....mine and EA's..... Thanks again |

Hello Dwain, Please don't let one person get to you, I know the majority of people appreciate the hard work you have put in over the years and are pleased you've come here to share your knowledge with us. I see you have removed the EA but perhaps when you have calmed down I can get you to reconsider.. I'm backing Wally here - can you not just ban the guy from your thread. Steve might ban him altogether but I doubt he feels sufficiently incensed to do so. I totally understand your feeling. I have run groups in the past and one does need a thick skin to cope with the obnoxious until they go just too far and then the door gets closed. Keep heart Sincere regards, Altos |
