Gack. You are right, of course. Seems unlikely it would make up for the "1 positive and 21 negative" issue, but I'll go back and re-think that.

Drat, I hoped to reduce the zznbrm Slope to a simpler equation so I could understand better what it was doing. Ohwell...

Thanks George!

Hi Paul,
thank you very much for the indicators you have kindly shared.
I have found these to be very useful for my trade analyses.

I have applied the Currency Slope v1.0.3 indicator in my charts and I noticed the daily AUD currency slope value in my AUDUSD daily chart is different from the other AUD currency pair charts.
And this also happened with NZD daily value in NZDUSD daily chart.

I am using Cowboy IBFX and the Currency slope v1.0.3 with ignorefuture=true and diffthreshold=0.4.
I tried reloading the charts and the anomalies only happen with daily AUDUSD and NZDUSD charts.

Paul, can you please help verify the issue? Does anyone else have the same issue?
I have enclosed 2 pixs:
A) AUDUSD chart pix with both currslope 1.0.2 and currslope v1.0.3 indicators (both set to ignorefuture=true and diffthreshold=0.4) but the AUD values are different.
B) AUDJPY chart pix with both currslope 1.0.2 and currslope v1.0.3 indicators (both set to ignorefuture=true and diffthreshold=0.4) and the AUD values are the same.

Thank you.

Rebel,

Please make sure you use the same version for both indicators. Also, are both set to the same timeframe?

Last question, why do you need two indicators that essentialy show the same information?

Hi Paul,
I am using the same timeframe D1 and I am just showing you there is a difference in AUD value when using the 2 different versions.
I was updating the charts to the new currency slope v1.0.3 indicator when I noticed the AUD value in AUDUSD chart is different.
I do not intend to use 2 versions of the same indicator but I just wanted to show the difference between the 2 indicators to explain the unusual situation.
Hope this clarifies.

Hi Paul,
as shown on the attached pix, the AUD values in AUDUSD hit -0.4 level on different days (highlighted by the yellow circles). Both versions have same settings (D1, ignorefuture=true). Again, I am only using 2 versions, just to show this phenomenon.

I have also tried to do ForceLoadHistoricalData script to be sure but the strange results only occurs on AUDUSD and NZDUSD. I have checked through several times before I posted in the forum (so I do not waste anyone's time reading this).
Hope this clarifies.

Hi I am using the slope valsue 1.05 version and for some reason the following pairs do not have any valuses, this has been the case for several days now -GBPCHF, EURCAD , NZDUSD, EURNZD. I have reloaded the indicator a few times. The pairs are listed in the mkt list and i can bring up each chart and it displays correctly. I have the setting set to autosymbol - true , autotimeframe false and D1 in time frame.

anybody else having this issue. My broker is AlapriUK

thank you

Hi Paul,

I have started using the TMASlopeMTF, with the MA but I am getting the following entries for all pairs every second:

00:00:04 TMASlopeMTF GBPAUD,Daily: unknown subwindow number -1 for ObjectCreate function

EDIT: I switched back to Neo's NT TMA_CSS-SP and I am now getting it with that too so I will ask him as well.

I only noticed when my HDD had a space issue!

I am sure I have seen this mentioned somewhere before but I can't find it.

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Dave.

EDIT: OK - found the issue searching - must have done something wrong. Anyway this is related to indicators being overlaid with other indi's. It looks like it might be related to the order indi's are added - I'll update here if I find a definitive solution in terms of indi ordering.

EDIT2: It seems this was an issue when using multiple versions of Neo's NT TMA-CSS-SP in the same window or one version of that and one version of your indi. I was using yours on D1 (with the MA) but using the flexible tmaPeriod on Neo's on lower timeframes. I have a workaround now - thanks, Dave.

Post subject:  Re: Baluda Indicators

I use the Baluda EA with great pleasure. The EA works autonomous, but because I like to see what's happening I use the SlopeStrength and SlopeValue indicators created by Baluda (Paul).

Since I'm trading by difference, the EA looks for potential trades using the difference between the SlopeStrengths of the individual currencies.

Image

As you can see in the picture above, the SlopeStrength is calculated by averaging the SlopeValues of the currency pairs. In the last yellow column you see the SlopeStrengths sorted from high to low and first 8 columns show the SlopeValues.

Because I use trade by difference, I'm interested to see the actual differences per pair and not so much the SlopeValues used for the calculation. (I can also see these numbers using the SlopeValue indicator)
Currently I have to calculate the differences by looking at the last column and adding or subtracting the numbers my self.

Wouldn't it be more logical/practical to show the differences of the pairs below the yellow currencies of each of the first 8 columns, in stead of the SlopeValues?

With great appreciation of the work shared here,
Willem-Bram

Post subject:  Re: Baluda Indicators

i apologize if this problem has been asked before. I just use your CSSindicator. And I got different value for the same currency at same timeframe. For example the value at AUDUSD (0.8,-0.42) but the value of AUDJPY (0.48,-0.44) both at h1. Isn;t the number for same currency at the same TF should be always the same? Any help is appreciated, I am new to this thread. Thank you.
