Alex, George,
I'm sending a pic of the trades again from journal and experts tab, this time from the offending chart USDJPY in this case. Set file included again.
I'm trying to get the EA to do the same thing on another crimninal, using the V1.3 EA and same set file. I have transferred the set file from the pictured EA to the same chart on the other crim to make sure we have the same settings. It wont do it on 1.3 , only on v1.3a1, and its the first time im seeing this on the 10.2 ea's by Alex. What changed between 1.3 and 1.3a1, Alex, i only see settings for the slope

Been buying and selling the whole day on the one crim, and now it just dont want to do it on the other. See the pictures with the little red signals. It appears like all sells right?


So i checked the code on 1.3 and 1.3a1 to see for differences.

- I am hiding 10 pips from the criminals in the offending ea.

- Baluda addition for the indi.

- the slope is referred to as L1 and L2 as opposed to 0.4 and 0.8 before.

- calculation for TMA true is added.

- The mention of 'to catch a thief' where STeve was trying to find this problem has been removed from the new ea. I've added it to mine and restarting as i type this. GOing to see if the error happens again.

Can any off the above be causing what you see in the pictures below.

ps: now that the chart has restarted with 1.3a1 loaded with the message bit, it's not ahppening so far, but will keep an eye on it.

When this happens again, can you show us all the trades you have open? I still think the issue I posted previously needs to be addressed.

Hi George,
as you can see in the attached pic , i only had one trade GBPUSD. I have marked the area where the new EA with the same set file and the included 'thief' message , started trading from. You can see the error has now stopped.

I tried capturing the pic when the rogue trade would open so you can see the buy line lines, but it happens too fast for me to capture, i tried a few times.

Hi all,
Okay, we have been sitting with a market that has'nt moved in favour of our autotraders here.
If you remember when NanningBob brought his 10.2 system here to Steve's, we had a flurry of activity over his system. The market was trending then and Bob mentioned that he wanted to see how the indis and his system handled the inevitable change of trend.
Those familiar with his manual trading system did far better than newbies at 10.2 like me.

Now we know a little more and we have a much more capable bot for the autotrading by Alex. I've made a few adjustments to v1.2, v1.3 and v1.3a1 and posted in their relevent thingies in the fxbookpage (follow the link under my signature).

Look for the 'general' tab and hit it. There you'll see the main adjustments and probably all the changes listed.

V1.3a1 is not set up for linking yet, but will do so as soon as Alex gives the go-ahead.

i'm checking up on settings for Monday and noticed Paul had made an update for the global variable issue on the multi, is there a possibility Autotrader needs a 'fix' here too?

The starts on all the Autotraders were great, and then almost as if they were reading 'old' data. I 'walked' the code, and then, swoosh! over my head. :lol: :lol:

Do you think a similar probelm exists in autotrader, 10.2 seems to be the most reliable so far for me, maybe it's my un-orthodox method, but i have'ne had any trading issues on v1.2 only when i put them on a pair that my criminal offers a ridiculous spread on. oh, also on commodities. I would rather NOT trade them so its not an issue and i'd advise others to do the same.

in the pic you'll see the start and then the drop-down, slowly. Thats showing a steady down, not a sudden crash. This means the trader is doing what it's programmed to do. So, thinking cap on and maybe we can go back to the global variables and see how Trader gets his info.! is there a 'refresh' along the way.?

pics are showing curve, and second pic is of the global variables since beginning. This was a fresh demo start.

Hi Alex, all.
A quick catch up on how the demos are fairing.

Interestingly it seems there is consensus that this last two trading weeks have been fairly difficult to say the least. The challenge was basically to just stay level , or afloat so far.

I need to bring to your attention that in the month of october, both my 10.2 v1.2 demos have not lost one trade.
Only one of the v1.2's lost one , okay shoot me, i lied. 1 trade for crap sakes. :x

V1.3 has not done so well, the whole october it lost 4 trades, and has 3 still open with a small loss.

please look up on the demo list and see for yourselves. I was checking settings for the next week and have decided to leave as is. I'm waiting for the markets to show us they will trend. I have seen 10.2 manually successfull with a trending market or if you are extremely patient and can wait a turn of market that can take months. I like to trade and i noticed v1.2 and v1.3 have been very slow to trade the last few weeks. Now i know why.

Thanks for the brilliant work guys, hope to have good news for all in a few more weeks. :D

Hi Alex, all,
here is a pic of my latest results with the attached set file. Charts are all on 4hr and if you'd like to check up on my demo list, look for "10.2 V1.2 on 4hr only - ala Al3xx h32", look through the list after clicking on the link in my signature.
There are two big losers, but the rest are all winners. Really impressive, i just hope we dont give up on this EA.

CuzGeorge, thank you for posting your results and your set file. I have tried out your set file, but I always get error(130) stop loss messages from time to time. Did you get this error message at all?

Hi Kenboi,
you must be aware of your criminals spread. SOme of the pairs, and it varies btween crims, some have very high spreads. You are probably getting those errors because of this. The general rule from the criminals is twice the spread. This means if you want a SL or TP position , it must be twice the spread away from where it is now.
Those settings of mine i only use on main pairs, no exotics. You might like exotics (they have much higher spreads), then you'll have to increase the BE and JS settings.

I get happy to see this EA still been used, so hope Alex is quietly working on a super update. V1.3 did'nt do too well for me and have found some steady success with the set file posted on v1.2. I'm still messing around with settings, but will post when done or if there s anything positive to post.

Thank you very much for your prompt response. I have increased the BE and it seemed to do the trick in the time being. But, some time later, I have had another problem with this EA. This EA opened the same pair repeatedly within a few minutes. Take a look at my screenshot.
