Hello my name is Ruben, first of all thanks you to all who has contributed to this thread.

Second: I've made a simply dashboard for the CSS v2.0 which only need to have the file "Gary.BaludaSuperCSS.v.2.0" in indicators folder, but with the ShowArrow = false.

I coded it in 4H by default and 7 periods in the past plus the current candle.
The gray color means that there is no change in color between candles. And the lime and red color is the signal to buy o sell the pair and also to close the previous operation.

Fixed the alert system which didn't work on v. 2.0

I'm testing the version Gary.BaludaSuperCSS.v.2.0.

The result of buffers using parameter showOnlySymbolOnChart = false; is totally different from false.



I'm testing this new version of an EA.
When I run and work without errors but when I try to change any parameter and run the initSymbols () function for the second time EA is removed automatically.

I found an array out of range problem.
When this function is performed for a second time it returns the value symbolNames =, .

Hello guys!

I've been so busy doing my own stuff that I only check the forum every month or so, but it's great to see that people keep making progress, and sharing it with others. Thank you for all contributors.

So I wanted to contribute a little bit myself.

In first place, while I examined this indicator I realized two things:
1) the crosses in the graph are basically the crosses of price through the MA, it's just a fancier and easier representation, specially as we can see how far/strong is the cross through the ATR (this might be explained elsewhere, but I confess I didn't have the time to go through the several pages of the discussion)
2) it only takes in consideration how price moves in the current chart, so doesn't take in consideration "Currency Strength in relation with other currencies" like the "old" CSS worked.

So, since it's just a representation of other common indicators on the current chart (and it's current price movements) and doesn't take other currencies in consideration, this means the principle can be applied to any other chart that is not under the common 8 major currencies we are used to.

But as it is it was not working with anything else besides the pairs that combined the 8 currencies.

So I changed it so it worked with the others. It may not be interesting for the majority of traders to trade EURDKK, for example, but SGDJPY might be interesting for some, so now you can use this indicator on those kind of pairs. Or XAUUSD or XAGUSD. Or US_Oil... Or Sugar/Cotton and others.

Note: The indicator will work the same with the usual pairs, but with the less common ones the lines will be both the same color (White as default) that can be also changed in the parameters, right below the others.

Note 2: I didn't test with everything, but worked with AUS200, US_OIL, UKOIL, XAG/XAUUSD, SGDJPY and EURDKK, so I guess it works with others too.

I hope it helps someone dealing with... Beans, or whatever!

Steve is using monthly weekly daily, can a warning system be set up that if three time periods agree it sends a signal? For example monthly and weekly are sells and when daily crosses down it sends a signal.

Here is version 2.2 with two new alerts and some cleaned up code. The details are listed below.

Nice work VirtualFM, really like the 'exotic' pairs option, will definitely get this in the next version.

1. MTF Agree Alerts
The alert works when three time frames agree and the 'regulator' TF did a cross.
So, the alerts will fire if timeFrame does a cross and extraTimeFrame and extraTimeFrame2 agree with cross direction. timeFrame is the regulator, so alerts will only fire on a new bar for this TF.

2. Exit alerts
Exit buy = cross down level +2.0
Exit sell = cross up level -2.0

3. Improved 'NewBar' code

Thanks for the kind words guys but Bob and Baluda are the real genius behind this indicator, I simply rearranged the code to get the alerts and arrows working. :D

illiquid:

There are three background colors... colorDifferenceUp, Dn, Lo. The Lo bkgd is the difference in slope lines and will not display if differenceThreshold is set to 0.0. I prefer diff=0.1 so I get the 'Lo' color when a candle closes and the threshold is below 0.1.
