I'm a bad trader and a worse coder, so really I can not help you developping Marilyn, really sorry for that. But I think she is already very good. It is nobodies fault if there is no real trend on the markets today. Patience and patience, one of the most difficult things to exercises, for me too, believe me.

If Pippa is around, no photo of Marilyn in Kimono?

Whats wrong with 5% in a few days.
i'm cheating though.
i noticed MM gets the direction right more than often. The swings change and then MM's SL kicks in a stops us out. There are some direct losses along the way i can see, but most go into a decent profit before they turn. The MM strategy is good, thanks Phill, the code does what its supposed to do, thanks Niepce, its the SL or TP that needs work, i use MPTM's, JS and BE method posted about before when i changed the demo here for just a few days now, and it seems to be working.

I cheated with MPTM here and left MM's SL in place.

The closing in profit is when the retrace movement hits our BE. If it doesnt retrace hard enough, the position will keep going in our way and wont be stopped by a TP. The SL is left for MM to catch the ones that dont go high enough into profit and thius dont trigger our BE on MPTM. Hope you guys dont mind, just an observation here and an attempt to test something different.

Are you finding that MM reopens the trade when mptm closes it at a TS? I think a few of us have mentioned previously that this really needs a TS, BE or JS, but the ea reopening the trade once it's closed was the worry.

no im not finding that. There are reasons for that to occur, like if you dont have a wide enough gap for the JS to work. Small JS and BE's would cause this. If the trend movement has changed, then it really shouldnt kick in again. If it does, i wouldnt close it, as MMonr is the core for the decision and its working for that demo just fine. I do sometimes play with this 'gap' as mentioned, especially if the spread of a specific pair is large. Thats obvious, but generally you can see the results this way on the link for fxbook. I use one instance of MPTM to manage all the trades seperately. no basket.

I think Phill is spot on when he suggests trading the correct pairs, i just cant point in the right direction for this yet and will watch the thread and my results over the coming weeks. Too soon in the testing.

hi cuz ! So, ok lets give her another try, unfortunately to say I nearly already gave up ... so lets cheat ... could you plz describe the "cheating" in more detail ? + the setfile you use for the MPTM to manage Marylin trades ?
