Stoch on H1 (NB 10.4v5.0 aka 10.5) is behind the scope of this EA IMHO... That said Jonathan, both are useful depending on mkt conditions... I.E. RSI(2) is Bob's 1st choice for 10.4 but sometimes it does not give enough signals for bob´s "shotgun trading style" :) - That´s when STO5 has it's use as it's bound to meet the (signal) criteria more often! You can use CT's improved YAD dashboard to fiddle with both indys and instantly determine for each trd session if RSI, STO or both are better suited at the time for 10.4 EA.

Hate to have to say this, but after 2 days neither 1.08 (the various versions) nor 1.07 are trading for me - I've had to revert to a v1.06 that I've modified to ensure sensible SLs & TPs plus the RequiredPercent feature, and its immediately opened a stack of nice-looking pendings. I'm really not sure what's causing this :\

Morning Andy,

I completely understand about the CSS plugin..... that is why it would be nice to have an easy way to tell the EA what currencies you want to trade in for the day... Including everything as a default is great but it would be nice if there is a parameter that if I could specify specific currencies for the EA to look at. Listing all the currencies to ignore is much more cumbersome then just asking to look at a few.. :)

Looking at XAUUSD I notice the chart both 10.3 and 10.4 are indicating a downtrend:

Hi Brian,

The Gold trade in the picture looks ok for long trades, low of the bar is above the 240 MA, AO has pulled back below, the zero line.

Well Andrew, Good Morning to you too! :D

Bob is always changing those conditions, they are difficult to grasp let alone code... Besides there are several CSS indis (Baluda) and new variants every week (Neotrader), not to mention heavy hardware requirements =» some have to chose lighter versions (CJ(the Captain himself!)) says they're too heavy for his laptop!) =» others have to run CSS on a stand alone machine, etc...

So IMO an "extern string TradingPair = ""; // place symbol(s) you want to trade" is highly desirable, as it keeps the EA simple e flexible, and the trader gets to decide by Nanning Bob's last take on the ever moving target of retail FX! :twisted:

Hello Andy and FT's.
Posting a snapshot of the error trades (non - rsi) taken by 1.08a Audnzd & GU & UJ. Like snailbeard posted that there could be some non rsi trades, two of them here. Also the GU took a hedge trade (sell trade, 4 hr gap then buy trade). Nothing against this if this is how the market changes and the EA can adopt to the change. Mentioned trades are all pendings btw.

Hi Andy,

Great! I am absolutely interested in developing this EA and in personally contributing further. This might evolve into a project where several coders contribute and speed up development in the 'right' direction - whatever is considered to be 'right'.

If this is the case it would be interesting to have some kind of Project Manager (you ;) ) who does not only put several development threads together after somebody created some hack randomly but to set up a development schedule and dedicate some work to the coders contributing, finally integrating the changes in the next release.

But don't get me wrong: I don't want to stop anybody from throwing in code and ideas randomly.

Otherwise I am afraid your integration work won't become easier if this EA grows - which it will. Sooner or later some proactive planning might be considered.

What's wrong with the AUDNZD trade?

AO is below the zero line and ask is above the Ma, so we can start placing orders LONG.

10.4 rules say either stoch/rsi at the bottom or AO below zero for a long.

I did see the LONG/SHORT on the cable trade, I've coded 1.09 to delete the stop trades in price moves below/above the MA line, but I set it to do that on a new bar, so when this bar closes, that trade should be deleted on the 1.09 version.

Thanks for your feedback, without it, it would be hard to get this EA working properly.
