Hey Gang,

Just started playing with this baby on Monday morning (Dec 1st, 2014), as I wasn't able to run multiple instances on the same account until Steve made the changes to enable it (I tried, but my eyes glazed over).

I currently have 8 instances running on H1, each focused on a single currency, (e.g. instance 1 is all AUD pairs, instance 2 is all EUR pairs, etc), and currently have a total profit of 350 Pips (that's both closed trades, and current open trades).

The idea behind having single-currency groups is that I can keep them running on Demo, and when there's a run on any particular currency, I can pop that setfile onto my live account, 'til the run ends, then just pull the bot 'til the next currency starts running.

Currently, the settings are the same for each group, but I will begin adjusting them next week. I've attached one setfile (AUD group).

One last thing about currency groups... I don't trade EURCHF, as the narrow range, and wide spread on my br0ker makes it too unprofitable to bother with, so whilst the other currency groups have 7 pairs, both the CHF and the EUR groups only have 6 pairs.

I had to make a minor change in int OnInit() to stop instances closing each others' charts, from line 463...

Thanks to all who have contributed to this beast of an EA. I haven't posted here before, but have been lurking reading manuals and trying out some demo's, etc. I have been running something very similar to the H4 set file Steve attached earlier in this thread with SBB and tonight (in Aus) have been alerted with a stack of errors on the demo in trying to open GBFCHF SELL trades with negative TPs. Anyone else get them? I have had 4 normal trades (currently up 200+ pips) before this repeated error Alert in trying to open the GBFCHF trades "invalid price for trade function" or something similar The problem is what is happening in the CalculateTakeProfit() function. The calculation of (TakeProfit / factor) in the SELL portion of the function is greater than the price, meaning the take value is negative. I haven't had a good chance to work out which of "TakeProfit" and "factor" are causing issue here but I believe it is with the external variable AtrTpMultiplier that I had set to 1.0 (as in Steve's set file). Setting it to 0 relieves the error. Can anyone brighter than I spot something that is up with CalculateTakeProfit() function in general? Or is it just values under 0.1 that are meant to go into AtrTpMultiplier and 1.0 was quite large and as such caused issue. Sorry in advance if this post is in noob land. Just thought I'd mention it incase there are people running it live with TP errors to their trades. I hope to have some more time in the code of this beast over the coming week to take a better look at this issue. Cheers all.

Here is my update for SBB: M15, lot size 0.05, Trend trades only, everything else is OOTB, closing both manually and automatically Started 28/11/2014 387 trades (yes, it's a lot of trades) 9056 pips (yes, it's a lot of pips) -537 floating pips 0.9% commission 0.3% swaps 2.95% DD 88.4% to 11.6% win/loss ratio Two big SL events in the last 2 days - GBPCHF(1) & EURCAD(3) taking >4% with them but still sitting with a 19.5% gain after all outgoings. Rgds RM PS Did I mention that SBB is an amazing piece of work?

Having a strange problem. The Bob H4 Trend differs between live and demo accounts. I am using the same set files on both demo and live and running them on H4. But on my live account audchf, audnzd, audusd and cadchf the H4 trend is up. On my demo they are down. Is it the feed from my broker that differs or is it something else? The MA indicator isnt even visable on the charts on my live account, but i can see it clearly on my demo. Right now SBB is taking trades in different directions according to Bobs H4 trend. Any thoughts about this? //Thomas

Made the candles smaller on the chart and then back again to normal size, that helped. Now I have the MA visable on the chart. I set the bars to 50000 and restarted the platform. Now they are the same on live and demo and the Bob H4 Trend shows the same on the screen. But that doesnt help the trades that were taken in the wrong direction earlier. Guess its my own fault that I didnt check the bars before. Thanks for the help Tommaso. //Thomas

Greetings Everyone I am just popping in here with a little report on using higher timeframe Stoch as filter for SBB. My results on H1 and H4 over the last several weeks trying a couple of approaches have been mixed probably not doing as well as some people's results with straight trend trading settings on SBB. The reason is that the stoch overbought over sold signal is at times very effective as a filter and at other time it is poor or even misleading. Why? The experts here will know that the stoch oscillator can be beautifully in snyc with PA in the timeframe you are trading, but at other times PA is changing and relationship with higher timeframes is changing and at these times the value of the stoch is not so good. This is fundamental to a backwards looking oscillator indy. I finished my trials with the SBB stoch filter thinking there was merit in a slope of stoch as a filter or perhaps a simple MA based filter to keep us out of those retraces. AND THEN out of the blue Holy Grail arrived. While I was attempting to work with the stoch filter Bob and the Holy Grail were putting the final touches on the Holy Grail indy which has a far superior concept and does the impossible in identifying trend, range, and breakout conditions. Conclusion stoch filter and SBB work on hold for me, all my resources are going into trading Holy Grail and testing Steve's Holy Grail EA. A huge thanks Steve for letting me do this work with SBB and stoch filter, I learned a lot. Anyone else can repeat the process anytime with SBB. And Steve your latest work and options in Holy Graily Bob v1k goes beyond anything I've seen before - truly impressive. Let's get trading.

I was going to replace it with SB. SBB is excellent. SB is even better. Given patience, Pipcruiser's Pipmasher may make them both look silly. Moving on, I recommend people transfer their attention to HGI/HGB, SB and PP in that order. Which one you settle on finally as your live trading bot will depend on your personal feelings. Whatever you decide, one of these three (or maybe two or all) will suit you best. They are all fantastic. Actually, so is SBB. Have fun playing with them all.
