Nope,

The TF's did everything on their own, no spacing between the trades of the 2 TF's.

Thank you, some traders will say that this is a good thing because we will have higher returns
but I see this is a weakness which has account blowing potential and it needs to be addressed.

I have experienced the same in the Awesome EA.
The work around at present is to only trade 1 time frame.

That is what I am working towards at the moment, weeding out the 'other' TF trades.

I don't see it as a glitch, just a coincidence that I chose the 2 higher timeframes that move in parallel sometimes.

Are you modifying the code and if so how would you do it?
I was thinking to prevent new trades from being placed if the distance between the new trade and the existing trades is less than X pips

Nope,

Just editing the EA-inputs so it only trades 1 timeframe. :smile:

The different timeframes in the EA use different magic# and comments, I think it will be hard to change it the way you describe.
I make the EA trade H4 with magic# = 0 and no comment.
If I see a opportunity on the D1 chart, I simply enter manually and the EA will pick it up and handle it from there with recovery and suchs.

Dead right. Actually, try 'impossible' unless someone is a fluent and expert coder.

It also misses the point of PoS by about a billion miles.

There are people here who appear not to like what PoS does. I am not entirely sure why they are using her for trading. Don't like what PoS does? Try one of the other EA's instead. We are not short of excellent ones these days.

Another point to remember is that if our monthly gains are high, then we are most likely trading larger lot size than we should (for our account size). When using this strategy, it is MY opinion that if we want higher monthly returns, it is better to trade more frequently than to trade bigger lot size. And more frequently means that we will need more than 1 timeframe. The new feature I added will help a lot in reducing drawdown but space out the timeframes as well. I thing M5 and M15 are a bit too close.

Thanks Billv,

Sounds like a good strategy to avoid big drawdown while trading multiple timeframe. Will demo it and let you know the results.

While I appricuate your efforts, I will stick to 1e.
The thing is that I don't want 2 timeframes trading in the same direction simultaniously at all.
It will end up in doubling the exposure on a retrace, no matter what.
