Wanted to share my experience with Milanese auto system from the first page.
The three trading drones settings (20,21,22) made me 600 bucks in the first 3 days and then it lost 600 bucks again in the subsequent 3 days.
Currently only direction is taken into account but not volatility/momentum.
If there is a spike, the setup will often take a long at the top of the spike (neglecting volatility) or a short at the bottom of a spike. Bad trades are the result that are dragged along in the negative because the setup takes to long to change to an opposite candle.
How to confront this?
In another thread the indicator PeakyBuffer is discussed where spikes are detected and the indi sends a Veto signal to TDesk. Unfortunately I am not really familiar with this indcator and also how to integrate it to prevent future top/low spike trades. Any ideas?

Hi Guys,
I thank all of you for your contributions and specifically Ehrenmat and Bodavid and Taipan for your recent inputs.
I have tried long and hard in getting the perfect entry. The fact of the matter is that there will never be a perfect entry with any Ea.
I looked at a post from Ehrenmat today and it just made me realize how important Thomas's creation is. Through my months of testing I have forgotten what I have learnt from the beginning
.
If you catch a Tdesk super trend signal in the direction of the major trend there will always be a pullback which could surmount to mega pips. I look at GbpAud for example with the pullback of almost 400 pips even though signs are there for a daily swing to the upside in the major trend direction.
For those of you following Hgi like I do, I find this the best and most reliable signal at the moment especially when I compare it with all the indicators that have been introduced and which I have tested over the months. I am still looking at X Supertrend which shows promise but I am afraid that I am sceptical as many others have disappointed me.
I am at at a point at where I need to look at my signals rather than a perfect entry.
Thomas has given us the Tdesk dashboard for a reason and we need to explore it, more so then look for the perfect entry. I have long tried to understand why an exit signal does not activate when we set it to force exit on opposite signals. Today I discovered that it will activate if we set it to Veto on opposite logic
. Once again I say, that Thomas has given us all this info from the beginning but I doubt all of us could have been on the same page and level of understanding. A Learning curve but we will perfect as we go along.
I will Just re highlight where I am at:
Today I discovered that it will activate if we set it to Veto on opposite logic.
My next bit would be to explore Steve's trading partner Ea which has a wealth of management functions and very crucial for our trade decision. I am very interested in the complex and single sided off set functions very successful in previous Ea's and worth exploring.
Anyway Guys, There is a lor of work ahead but certainly something to look forward to.
Cheers
Leon

Firstly LittleCaro nice results and hopefully all still going well.
We are given so many great tools and one which stands out for me is the "Mega" trend indicator by Wallywonka. From the time that Wally posted this indy I loved it. It goes well with my system.
Leon
would be nice to know what you like about the Mega indicator. For me it looks like a typical repainting indicator. When your other indicators cross the mega also cross. So what's the avantage of the mega indicator?
Greetings

Yes of course it repaints and so do many other indicators that we use.
I personally have moved on from this indicator. Not saying it is a bad indicator. I think it will do quite well in a trendy situation. The markets have been painstakingly slow for the last six days or so and mostly ranging so you would be pulling your hair out right now if you are using this indicator. The daily time frame and weekly time frame could give you solid signals to work off. If you are playing this on the smaller time frames only, forget about it. As mentioned in my quote above, from my previous post. I still find HGI the most reliable indicator and please don't tell me that Hgi repaints as well, because you will be shot execution styleFor those of you following Hgi like I do, I find this the best and most reliable signal at the moment especially when I compare it with all the indicators that have been introduced and which I have tested over the months. As for the HGI 'repainting'. Accuse it of this and you will have one of two outcomes: I blister you in public then ban you; I ignore you in public and then ban you in private. Your fate depends upon my mood.
Read the effing manual, ok?

If you want the best from HGI,use H4 TF and above unless you're an old timer like Wavegarrick, you can attempt LTF....My advise is stick to HTF for sometime until you master it..... :youknow:
