HGI used with Hurst charts

I think it will prove to be a really solid rule since price tends to hover around the swing point before the momentum catches.

It will be interesting to see how many trades I get waiting for all 3 periods to line up. Its not looking like many yet. I decided to take a trade in any direction when they do line up, I can review at the end of the week which ones were against the daily trend and what the results were.

When you say all 3 periods do you mean current plus BOTH MACD Hurst? .. if we didn't have HGI that would probably be how I now trade. .. with HGI only really need one other timeframe cycle as filter.. I started with the higher MACD Hurst.. and now the 5/10 Hurst cycle .. both do the same job, differently.

If you get in when both higher period MACD Hursts line up then these are keepers.. hold for the ride

Yeah I'm looking for trades where 5/10, 9/18, and 30/60 line up. They exist on a visual back test. I'm going to pray my platform doesn't crash this week and try not to reload my charts, that way I can see how many occur in real life.

The 9/18 is basically your 4 bar filter if I'm not mistaken.

I had a look but 9/18 doesn't match 4bars of current hurst cycle. Waiting for the 5/10 MACD would work but I think the 4bars idea gives earlier entries and a chance to get in on the TMA band more of the time.

Visual backtesting does not work with MACD Hurst or any (non true) TMA related indicators. However it would be interesting to know how many opportunities line up this week with your setup. Have you had any with all 3 lined up yet?

Thank you very much by giving details on your method TJF.

I already have few questions:
- Do you trade XAGUSD and XAUUSD based on that method?
- How did you come to the entry level around TMA lines?

- As you know, Hurst is also great to define exit and/or the end of the move (equal distance past the crossover), have you ever check "MTF Hurst Target v1b" that plot the swing target and tried to include it in your method?
