I discovered the excessive 9in my opinion) stop loss situation and changed from ATR to 100 pip stops. I don't know if that will be good or bad but we'll see what happens. If this was real money rather than demo I would probably be passing the 39th floor on the way down after jumping off the roof. (Old joke...so far so good.)

Hi Roger,
i found that recovery trades can sometimes take very long to 'play out' and then they can still go wrong so more recovery trades.
More often, when i've tried to cut down on the recovery pips, or make the SL's closer/tighter, then i really started to lose on my demo's. I think giving the EA space to breathe and more time is better than changing settings. Paul and co. have got 10.2 figured and are abviously watching. Lets just give the demos a chance to get on with it, as you know, the markets have been very sluggish lately, but let the market start trending and all with come out in profit. i'm convinced. Not trying to sell you on this, my experience will all NB's systems, food for thought and my 2 cents. ;)

regards, happy pipping,
cuz

Did you fix the pivot calc bug in 1.1.10 or update to 1.1.11?
I did and I'm only down 9% .... so far. :D
No, I didn't. Maybe I should have. 9% loss in less than 2 days is still pretty sobering. It makes you re-examine the risk parameters for the beastie.

Indeed food for thought. Thanks George.

It looks like it is simply taking all the stack trades at once. I can't find any issues with the code. Can you turn on the display of StackPrice (showStackPrice) and see that it looks correct? Just to make sure, I am assuming that minStackTradePips is non-zero, right?

Also, for fun, can you change maxStackTrades to be something other than 6?

George
Okay, I did that, and I see a new column "StackPrice" that's blank for all rows though. I also changed maxStackTrades to 7. Not sure what I'm supposed to look out for *confused* My set file is attached if that helps?

Once you are in a trend trade, it should show a StackPrice. The price should be x pips (50 by default) away from the entry price.

Absolutely. UPL now -11% for the week; this using $0.60 lots on a $5,000 account. Maybe it'll pull a rabbit out of the hat if we get one of those strong midweek counter-moves. Let's see....

Mike, Thank you for your response, let me do some analysis and see where are my problems.

Anyone who has successfully making profit for the last 10 days, could you please post the trade details ? I suspect the different is very much due to the initial "start time" when I start to use this bot to trade. To compare with the winning trades, I hope I can find more clues on the problems.

Thanks

Post subject:  Re: MultiBob, a multi symbol NB10.2(a) autotrader

All my wrong trades these week had something in common, the DP was changing the trend of previous day's DP: I had a buy yesterday on eurcad, but DP was lower than day before, and converging with WP, it stopped today in a loss. Today i had a sell on usdchf, DP also on the counter was higher than yesterday, and a buy on eurusd which also had a lower DP, both trades stopped in loss. There was only one NB10.2(a) trade closed in profit, buy eurgbp, and this one had a higher DP too, going upwards with trend.

NB10.2 did better than NB10.2(a), no losses closed yet, and 2 trades closed in profit, but i can't really tell because i have both running on same demo, and sometimes there is not sufficient margin, due to excessive lot size and/or too many trades. Also autosymbols true at my crim throws very strange pairs like usdhkd, eurtry, audsgd... so I may change it to the default symbols list and a fixed small lot, let's see how it goes.

Hi Baluda (Paul),
May I request for maxPipsCrossed (as an option) to be implemented for 10.2a trades as well? Too often, I found MB opening positions when PA has gone too far beyond the daily pivot (& quite often PA was almost reaching support/resistance areas). So, I think this implementation may help in many ways :)

Last night multibob completely wiped my $1000 demo account (well, not *completely*, there are $50 left)

It never closed a winning trade, even if at the beginning there was a big "floating profit"
I never saw trailing stop, jumping stops, breakevens, or else

I'm using default settings
Did I do something wrong?
