Hi CC! Hope you did fine this week. I wanted to ask you what you mean by we can enter on weak H1 slope (green/red) even if it didn't went till +/-0.8 on specials conditions, what are those conditions ? Could you explain more about how do you use the H4 slope with the pivots ? Best regards, Fable ps: Just for the record, I took a big lost (minus -7%) today. Wich is kind of sad because it erase all my monthly profit :/ I'm now minus 2%... Well S*** happens. |

Hi Fable, Pity about your poor week (were they counter trades against the current/emerging bias direction or after a MTF retrace alert?) . Given engagements elsewhere and the high market volatility, manual trading has been rather light for me this week. Well, when all the other entry conditions are perfectly in place for entering a trade in the direction of the bias, you may find a situation where the H1 slope reverses at or near 0 without crossing it to give the usual signal. E.g. for a short trade, as price action sets a high and starts to go down for a pair with a DT bias, the slope moves upwards from <0 and gets to 0, then starts going back down <0 again. If it had crossed >0 it would have given the weak green signal but in this case it didn't get there. If price action is in a HPTP area, there is a high edge and the short trade is in the current/emerging bias direction, I may consider placing the pending order to enter the trade as the price goes down. This is not a common practice as it needs close chart analysis so I will call it a special condition. The H4 indicator window is optional. It lets me see how momentum is evolving on higher TFs (sometimes I have both D1 and H4 on). It saves me the time of having to check the H4 & D1 TFs to know the slope direction and location above or below 0. I use it mostly when the pivots are too close together and I have a need to further clarify the trade direction. Hope it helps. Cheers, CC |

Hello everyone, This is being posted on 10.3 and 10.2a CTS forums. I haven't been around on the thread in a couple weeks and just got back and am trying to get updated myself on CTS. I've been on Bob's thread for 10.3. Although everyone in the industry seems to be of the mistaken belief that we're all looking at the same information, we have not been. I have done my best to fix this, so that when we talk of Day open prices, Daily pivot, and S/R from that pivot, we are all on the "same page", talking "apples vs apples" instead of "apples vs oranges". Time for day open is now set to 5 PM Eastern, internationally recognized as the end of the Forex day. So we have 5 full days in the Forex week from Sunday 5 Eastern to Friday 5 Eastern. Please use these indicators on H1 chart as this is where they where built and shown to be correct (and we are dealing with hour offsets from Eastern time afterall). Please see my website at www.tinyurl.com/disbellj (hosted free through DropBox using tinyurl to shorten link for free. Don, Thanks for all your good work already... you have been a blessing here Is it possible for you to somehow make a summary of all the trade logic that your indy has employed somewhere, and keep updating it in one place? There have been many changes, back and forth, and by the time you also include the CTS work, most folks will have forgotten what the new/updated 10.2A/10.3 look(ed) like ! I believe that your work is now one of the most comprehensive to date here ... Or do you plan to list all changes on your tinyurl? Right now it looks like only 10.3 is operative o your indy since you are asking that only H1 or below TFs should be used. My apologies if I am mistaken. Cheers, Athar.

No. only one timeframe - H1 is needed. I don't use anything else. Of course the Weekly and Monthly pivots are not done by me (I could do weekly version myself using if(TimeDay(Time) < TimeDay(Time[i+1]) to show new week, since a day of week is never lower than previous bar unless a new week), Baluda's code works just as well for week start, so no need for me to work on that. I take for granted that the monthly pivots are correct also, but haven't checked them. Although Bob looks at multiple timeframes, from my perspective, I can get whatever information I need for indicators without having to have the window open, using code, and displaying that information on chart for all pairs at once. It's the daily open time that's the most important element IMHO. The trade logic should be self-explanatory, but it follows Bob's 1 MA Window indicator rules, except just doesn't think in terms of H4 at all. Just in terms of MP/WP/DP/DO, and DP S/R. If you note, there's nothing there that pertains to H4 at all. So the information is what's needed to be correct/ as close between criminals as possible, and is now to the best of my ability. Kindest regards, Don |

Here is updated indicator. The only change from last version is I corrected the colors of DO and DP lines, so that DO is White, and DP is Lime, like Bob's latest template (we'll call it 10.3 since he combined 10.2a and 10.3 so both signals are on AllPairs indicator). Kindest regards, Don |

Son of a gun! Weekly open/pivots/S/R aree wrong too! If you notice the W1 pivot column, on left SyncCriminalOpenTimes is set to False, so uses Baluda's code. Baluda's code is not the problem. The problem is Empty4 giving wrong information on day beginning. When my code is used for week start, we get WILDLY DIFFERENT pips from pivot for W1. We don't have enough bars by default to use my method on monthly, so I don't know how we check that, but I'll be building a Weekly version of my OpenPivotSR indicator. Kindest regards, Don |
