Hallo together, I use my own version of Symphonie, I called it "Symphonie_Rainbow". Attached you can find all information and also a template and a picture as an short example. What about an EA to my system, I think it´s much more easier to use "Symphonie" depending on the other indicators. If you have ferther more question, I can give of course more example of my system!!!! Best regards and good pips ForexAs |

What kind of results do you see with it? I've been fairly surprised there hasn't been more interest in this system, given Evaluator's results. It's high on my list of things to check out, when I dig out from under the mountain of work I'm under now. I'd like to see if anyone but Evaluator can have success with it, or if the secret to his success is inside his head, not in his indicators. |

I also got pretty nice results with symphonie. I'm trading it live. @ForexAs : Could you please explain what's exactly that rainbow thing and the ZB-could matrix ? Maybe you have the mql version for zb-cloud ? |

Hi Evaluator/All, Evaluator. Would you be so kind to post a chart image of exactly how it looks at the time you take a trade. I'm not sure I understand the "extreme spike" part of the strategy. Does it mean a spike on the indicator with an opposing colour? [I think this is the one!] Or does it mean just a spike on the indicator? Or just an opposing colour? Many thanks, Rob |

Mediator, If you do not like then do not use. I have a successful record using Symphonie Trader System and I have been open and honest on the FF thread and all one has to do is go there and they will see the results. Who cares if one or two of the indikators repaint. The whole point of the Symphonie is that at the point of all 4 indikators agreement there is a signal and the market changes price action changes direction at that point in time giving one a trade that makes profit. If you follow the exit rules of Symphonie you will make profit. Also, I will be the first to tell you never trade live account on a new System. Use a demo account and when you can demonstrate a winning track record of trades using Symphonie and you have a firm understanding of market movements and how to properly interpret the signals you might be ready. But never trade any System with real money until you firmly understand all the functionality and process. As to your remark about '' myfxbook''; I do not use it and do not know anything about it nor do I care to use it. You trade the system as defined from post #1 and that is how it works. I am not going to be a signal service and I let Symphonie System do that for you. Also, going back and trying to figure out why I took a trade after the fact will just cause more confusion as some times the history does not perfectly match the actual realtime due to the fact you are making about repaints. Again, this does not matter and you should concern yourself with the realtime present market actions. Lastly, if you cannot trade fulltime then try trading in the 1 hour timeframe where the signals are less often and less whipsaws and repaints because market trends are more stable and well establish. Good luck to you in your quest in finding the ''Holy Grail'' of systems. But I can assure you one that is 100% right all the time does not exist. Evaluator. P.S. As to your offend comment....You started your posts on FF Thread with attacks and I only responded calling your a noobie because you were asking noobie questions that were clearly answered in thread. If you find it offensive to being called a noobie then you are really thin skinned. |

Hi Evaluator, I'm finally taking some time to look at this. I've got the indicators running on 5min EURUSD. I understand now why the repainting of the Extreme indicator is not a big concern. It frequently fires, then unpaints, then paints, then unpaints, etc -- but the other 3 indicators are not generally pointing in the same direction. By the time they do, the Extreme indicator has settled on its final value. Given that, the history I've looked at seems pretty promising. I'm not sure about the amount of repainting on the other indicators and how much challenge that would present in realtime. I have definitely seen the Sentiment indicator repaint on a closed bar. You only pay attention to the indicator colors at the CLOSE of a bar, correct? What do you do when the indicators repaint on closed bars? E.g. the 16:25 GMT 2/20 bar was blue when it closed, but it flipped from blue to red a minute later. The other two indicators were red and the Extreme indicator called for a short. If you looked only at the close, you would not have gone short -- but if you looked a minute later, you would have. How would you handle that? Another question: at 14:50 GMT 2/20 the Emotion and Sentiment indicators were red, and the Trendline switched to red -- one bar after the Extreme indicator started showing preliminary "extreme bottom" signs: Would you take the short signal at that point? When the Trendline turned red, the Extreme indicator had been signaling "potential extreme bottom" for a bar, but you didn't know at that point whether it was going to "stick" or not. In fact it did not, so the final Extreme bottom indicator didn't come until after the other three indicators turned red. (And even then you didn't know if that was the "final" Extreme indication.) So would you have gone short there, or would the "starting to show an Extreme bottom" indication have blocked you from going short, even though you didn't have the final Extreme signal yet? If you took the short, you'd have gotten whipsawed for a 25 pip loss, but that's not bad considering the price action. But if you've got preliminary "extreme bottom" signals, do you still go short? Also, when the Trendline indicator switches, BOTH red and blue are drawn for 2-5 candles. (At least that's how it shows in history.) When do you say it's switched from blue to red? When red first draws, or 2-5 candles later when blue stops drawing? That can make a huge difference. Finally, I tried running the Combi indicator from the first post, and it hung my Empty4. Any guesses why? Thanks! |

Gary, The issues you have highlighted with the indicators are what turned me off this system when it first appeared on FF. At the time I wrote an EA for it to forward test the system, but it was just not successful because even though it entered on a closed bar, the indicator would often change it's mind (several times) once you'd already entered a trade. If Evaluator is having success with this system then good luck to him/her, but despite following the rules to the letter (as an EA always will) I could not get it to work. Sorry, I don't have the EA to share - I generally ditch them once I've decided they don't work. |
