No, I'm sure there's no magic bullet out there. We just keep searching for something "profitable" that fits our trading style.

Great number crunching again. I'm sure as we adjust the inputs we would get varying results. I think our next step would be to get an EA started. I've dropped Steve a PM, don't know how to get this over to the "EA" section. I guess someone has to start coding one.

Not familiar with TS so don't know if that can be converted over to a Empty4 EA.

But in the mean time...Go be with your family and clear your head. :)

Yeah I looked into that thread pretty extensively. Just too much exposure. Things stack up pretty fast on that one. That thread is actually where I stumbled on this idea.

BTW Spyderman -- I did my testing on EURUSD. Earlier this evening I tried it on a bunch of other pairs. EU seemed to be the only one that worked worth a darn. I didn't try optimizing & tweaking params on it, but I'm a little surprised that all the other pairs worked so much worse. Apparently the method is even weaker than I thought.

Hmmm...not the best of news. Surprising a little in that there seem to be many pairs that trend as well or better than E/U

Well as you might expect my manual trading of "Cry the Blues" is in profit thus far. That's S.O.P. for martingales, and then they blow up...at least that's what everybody says. ;)

If your "Cry the Blues" is similar to the Martingale buy/sell testing I was testing, and if you're using a similar exit strategy, then it won't blow up. It might lose money but it will do it with controlled losses.

It's the same we've been talking about. Just trying it manually. Obviously its hard as 25 pips isnt' a very large swing to monitor in order to place new pendings.

All in all I've had a pretty good week manually trading "Cry the Blues".
I have two open orders on Cad/Jpy and Eur/Gbp, both on the second cycle.

We'll see what the New Year brings as the markets get up and running this next week.

Still looking for a coder to try this out. :)

What do you expect from the EA to do, exactly, cause it is still there...?
I was playing with it last days, but just let me know what you expect it to do, triggers, maxlots, what closing rules, etc, etc.
