I can certainly say that so far the volatility stop looks far superior to the SMMA methods I mentioned but I will keep testing today. It shouldn't take me too long as none of these indicators repaint in any way so visual back testing is pretty good (as you mentioned Dewey - as long as you use bar close).

There were several great signals last night and I hope everyone was able to take advantage. Here is something I am looking at. The pink lines on the chart represent large clusters of stop orders--thicker lines represent larger orders. The big traders like to take these out, so price will often move towards these. I am going to experiment using these for TP targets

Hi Dewey, I have been reading this thread with interest, and trying to find the time to update the EA with your recommendations. Out of curiosity, where did you get the information from to draw those pink lines?

It's from a commercial vendor. Let me ask Steve first before I post more about that

No I am not a vendor and am not on any commission. I just started so I can't make any recommendations either way about them yet but it is fascinating reading so far.

Congratulations on your development of this system.
This post is not exactly about the Breakout - sorry!
I would like to ask your help re the trade order button in the top left of your screens

Using Dad's system (Aussiedoc's Ducks) we use the "New Order" button provided on the platform to manually open trades on the crossover signal... Which is OK on the slower time-frames - but can be a challenge on the shorter ones.
Having the above indicator(??) would be a great asset.
Would you please let me know how/where I can get it?

Hi Christine - it is standard in the recent versions of Empty4 - try clicking on a chart then pressing ALT+T - it will either appear or ask you if you want to allow one click trading. If neither happens then your broker doesn't support it.
