He did yes. Go ahead and use it and mabey we can compare notes to make it better. I was focusing on Bob's method when putting it together, tring to keep to the original strategy. There's no secret setting there, just solid fundi's I'd say...

Hi wolfeman ... as I see the setfile you posted is not compatible to the bot posted in #1 ? Is it for another EA ? Could explain that ?

sorry about that bro, The Ea I'm using is Secret Bob "Version 1i" which I pulled from the "sometimes trendy, sometimes not" thread. I'm not sure why I posted about it here. I do know I wanted to have a look at "sometimes trendy" but quickly reminded myself that I have no interest in counter trend trading. So, that's probably how my posts ended up here.

There really is no secret in my set. I just tried to mimic nanningbob's rules in my set. The only thing I changed from Bob's rules was using the candle stop with buffer (I just chose a number of pips that would be on the far side of the CT exit arrows, as bob suggested in his manual trading thread) . Like most of us, I'm not a big fan of drawdown...I hate it in fact. I can accept some losses, but open DD makes me feel like I'm out of control, burning time and money; I'd rather be flat. While I admire those that can patiently wait for the price to come back to their entry, I'm not one of 'em.

I love this EA. It's not overly complicated, so I feel like I can wrap my head around it and get it to do what I want; so far it is doing that. I may end up migrating over to the basket thread, as sounds looks like I can get it to do what I want, but I'm not sure. I like single trader EA's with one set file per pair that can be adjusted as I see fit. The "blanket" method of basket/CT trading just leaves my simple mind spinning. I like simple.

As i said, I'm not using this one, so I dont have a set file for it. Sorry for the confusion.
