I am going to have to try this thing. What is funny is I have had this formula for years, goes way back to my 4.0-5.0 series at FF. I only used it when I was in big trouble with DD and it almost always bailed me out. Atr some point it would get me that one good trade to clean out some junk.Took me years before I ever thought of using it as a trend trade also. Had to have all the ins and outs of the 240 line before I tried it. Actually I was just playing around with 11.0 trying to improve the return rate when for the heck of it I tried it out. Well, the rest maybe history. Anyway have fun, I know I will. :)

9 hours since starting, firing on all cilinders.
All pairs have an open order now.
17 winning trades closed, no losers.
340 pips netted, 3,4% added.
Max DD 350 pips.

I closed my overnight H1 trades manually for +6% this morning, so I could change to the M15 to see what happens. Returning home from an afternoon teaching, SB has taken another 6%. 751 pips, trading the majors and GJ.

V 1c is in post 1. I have added a FridayStopTradingHour to the trading hours input - details in post 1. We can have the facility to close all trades at a certain time on Friday as well - let's see if we need it first. I have also moved the 'Results today' to the top of the chart so we can see it more easily.

Thanks Steve and guys. I know it's Russian roulette on the M15, but fun also. Since adding the EA at 12 pm Uk time on 20 charts its made 10.9% (5 pm uk time now. BUT - it is now at 6.5% DD.

Will keep this running in case but have set up M30 and M60 charts for next week, hopefully less trades = less DD? Who knows. Trading times will be 7 am to 18:30 pm uk time. See what happens!

Thanks guys, this does keep an old guy happy when he's testig, lol.

Beers AND currys gertje! Actually I migth open an M240 and increase the TP to 150? Hmm :D

Redownload the indis from post 1 guys, and you will find those irritating alerts have gone. Manual traders relying on the alerts, do not use these versions.

Bob and Steve,

What a great start! My 15 minute EU chart sent out three sell orders over 7 bars just before the drop today, and was quickly joined by the 30 and 60 minute versions. Lots of pips!!

Looking at old charts, it looks like the only time this EA ever gets into trouble is when it sends a Sell signal just before a big trend move up, or vice-versa. If our resident Mad Scientist Nanning Bob can figure out a reverse counter trade signal to the counter trend trade signal during those times ....

Whoohoo!!! Thanks Steve/Bob. :party:

Trading H1 since last night all common pairs bar EURGBP/EURHF 0.01 lots/1000, max 2 trades, SL to zero (will change this at some point as a failsafe) .....and we finally have a losing trade - 53 trades 52 winners 1269 pips and 7% increase. Interestingly the major winners right now seem to be CT trades so when we start heading in the trending direction again???? :cheer:

Like Gertjan said - seems too good to be true which is always a red flag but at the moment I can't see the big flaw. I like the double and withdraw plan, always have, but never managed to achieve it with an EA.

2 things;
- be carefull with H4, one bar can go a long way against you before the return signal.
- no TP, let the signal do the closing and don't limit yourself to a measly 150pips....
