Post subject:  Help setting up SBB
Once again, I am at wit's end. Surprised I have any wits left, to tell the truth. I watch Gertje's posts and am dumfluxed by the number of trades SBB is generating for him. Over the same time period I am getting maybe three or four. No way am I getting 30+ trades.

Last evening I tried setting up SBB so it could take any and all trades (set file attached). Set ATR to 0, isn't that supposed to take it out of the equation? Even enabled counter trend trades to see if it would help No joy.

I am getting the alert window, so I know the indy is working, but why no trades? Any advice is extremely appreciated. BTW, demo account with FXCM.

Murph,

Lets try this setfile and tell us how you go... it has taken 27 trades today so far, 25 closed and 2 open, it may be a broker issue.

PS forgot to mention, it has also banked 519 net pips with a 0.03 DD

To turn the ATR filter off, set AtrMinimumForTrading to zero.

That's just what I did as seen in the set file I attached, and that's what I ran overnight. Didn't seem to make a difference. I'm wondering if it is a broker issue of some sort, however I do have three trades in the 45 minutes since I loaded RMs file. We'll see what happens in the next 12 hours or so and I'll report back.

Actually I had the same problems and now I am pretty sure that the issues are because of the input indiintervallreadseconds. I had it set to 5 and SBB was only opening one trade once in a while. If you compare your setfile with SSB_RM_trial file you will see the input is set to 0.

That may well have been the problem. In the past hour, RMs setfile is taking trades to beat the band! :party:
