Thanks Pavel! I use 14 pairs+Gold, and have had the best week so far! Also, I manually close out some of the trades sometimes, hence no losses... Cheers! |

Good results! I'm using HGB only 2 days. The market is pretty good for trend following systems but i want to see HGB in other market conditions to reduce future risk. |

You will see them and probably sooner rather than later. The pattern with the original HGB before we broke it and it stopped working altogether was: a day or two of fantastic pip gain, followed by a day or two of giving it all back. Not sure if that was because I originally misunderstood what the wavy lines are telling us - that remains to be seen. I agree with you and counsel against trading HGB live until we have seen him perform through some quiet markets. |

Yeah. I have read HGB old topic. I think may be HGB basket manager need SL too not only TP to reduce risk cause a lot of open trades may be so dangerous from HGB. P.S. Guys sorry for my English. It's not my native. |

Well, this is starting to get fun! I made 1200+ pips while I slept last night. My total for this week is over 1900 Better be on the lookout for the pullback that often happens on Thursday/Friday |

Yes. The temptation is to be greedy and leave the thing running. Those of us who grew up together in the Great Train Wreck that is Forex trading need to remember what I am about to write. Noobs, you really, really need to take note of it. Here goes. Everyone in the entire world with access to a computer would be rich if trading Forex were easy. It isn't and we aren't. Back when a lot of us started in 2006/7, 1900 pips would have made a miraculous year. Take some time for that to sink in. Noobs, those of us who have been around for such a long time understand stuff you do not yet even know exists. We can tell you this with absolute certainty: pocket those pips now and knock off for the week. You will give them back tomorrow if you do not. |

Steve, Just a thought regarding the multi trades ... at the moment we have them spaced at 20 pip intervals with TP30 and fixed SL50. This means that if price moves in our favour, when the second multi-level trade is triggered, we have a situation where the potential profit from both entries is 60 pips but, if the market reverses against us, we are exposed to a combined 100 pip loss. Instead of the 50 pip fixed SL, a 40 pip instant trailing SL would ensure that our risk/reward is 1:1. E.g. Trade 1 goes +20 triggering Trade 2. At this time, SL on Trade 1 has moved up 20 pips so the worst case loss is -20. On entry, Trade 2 has the full 40 pip SL, so combined risk is 60 pips - equalling the potential profit from both entries for 1:1 R:R. Make sense? |
