This EA has certainly made an encouraging start.

So patmontes, I am not going to scream, "No don't, not yet." Just promise it really is a tiny account and that you can genuinely afford to lose the funds if it all goes bad. OK?

Back to my demo, I have umpteen open trades showing about 120 pips drawdown - stuff all compared to the number of trades. Live, I would have closed them on Friday night the instant they went into a tiny profit, which they did several times. The luxury of demo allowed me to leave them open; I will let you know if opening gaps destroys the account. :lol:

V 1b is in post 1. Please read "End of week trade closure" in post 1 for details. Also added the fix for the trailing stop bloop I mentioned in my Shell code thread.

Those trades I left open on Friday turned nasty and have given back all the gains of the previous fortnight and a lot more.

Hi all new to this (yes i can hear the groans ) my question is when i hover over any live trades I can see the trigger ie trend rad etc but can not do so on trades in history, I wonder for the benefit of statistical analysis of which types of trades do well which do badly under certain conditions is the information for the trade trigger for each trade stored anywhere

welcome. if you right click on a trade in history and make sure 'comments' has a tick next to it, it should now reveal what type of trades were taken

I have done this type of analysis a few days ago. After 40 days of trading (not many, I know) It seems that the blue wavy signals are more profitable and accurate (20 wins of 22 trades). Unfortunately you can disable the trading of all signals exept for the trend signal, that it seemed less reliable then blue wavy (I looked in the code, but for me it is not a simple "if" as the other signals)

The basket approach is not working for me, so I'm trying to set a different management for the various types of signals (the great tool of milanese, APTM, can help you to manage the different type of trade distinguishing by the comment. Of course a range signal can't provide the same amount of pips of a trend signal, just my opinion

Hey.. did you continue testing this? I can see the system was deleted on your myfxbook link. I trade manually but use HGB as a useful trade trigger when I am away from PC so would be good to know if WRB offers any advantage for entries?
