The base indicator is a smoothed Heiken Ashi but it is shown as a single line rather than bars - essentially the line just follows the mid point between what would have been the high and low of the HAS bars. ((H+L)/2). The default settings have served me well but I've left them free to be fiddled with.

BUT!!! This is not a MTF indicator and therefore you can not set the timeframe on which it is based. If you're TDesk is set to load up H4 charts then you'll get this trend from an H4 perspective. If you change timeframes on your charts then the signals back to TDesk will change. If you're happy to stick with one timeframe then this will work for you.

Hmmmm. Not entirely sure what you are talking about here.

You might care to post an indi file, or at least a link to said file. Not many of us are going to bother going hunting for it.

Not that I care - I am a million miles from wanting to get involved in this. I am just pointing out that not many of us are mind-readers and that you might need to be a tad on the more informational side if you want a response. Others here might understand you better but as I read you, I have no idea what you are talking about.

Yes, the last smoothing bit is missing. But the curve is nearly the same (compare them) and it is a working V2 type indicator. You can change chart timeframes to your heart's content, it always signals and draws right.

I called it HA Bruster TD V2 pg_v1.

It seems to work as your HAS but probably with less load on your computer.
You can choose how many bars back you want to load and also if you want to include the open bar.

Yes, this is a very close alternative to the HAS trend - particularly at H4. Maybe my time could have been better spent rather than coding the MTF HAS version!! I did however find the H1 2MA indi to be a little "fast" compared to the HAS indi and it produces false signals on minor pull backs. I'm sure this could be resolved by increasing the period of the fast MA slightly so it probably just needs some tuning. I like the way the HAS is fast and yet smooth - it doesn't flip one way and then the other as much as the 2MA version. I've included a picture to show what I mean but like I say, I'm sure this could be resolved so people just need to use whichever one suits them.

I'm sure you are right about the 2MA indi being better for anyone with cpu load issues but I haven't found any major drain with the HAS trend tbh.
