I've blown 3 live accounts as well...started trading in early 2009, and it wasn't until I stumbled across mptm in late 2010, found Steve which led me to Nanningbob that I have been consistently profitable.

So newbies...make sure you read and take in Steve's post above because he's RIGHT :!:

I really can't believe what I'm seeing on DEMO!!! :shock:

Nanningbob, I was following your v5 and first v10 but this system is already scarying me, I'm testing it manually and also using the EA from steve and I made 1220 pips since monday morning, 80% positive trades :lol: (could be even better, made a few stupid trades)

I read your manuals at least 4 times and I'm really not a succesful manual trader, until now I was never profitable on longer runs, I prefered always EA's.

This system is for me an eye-opener. Thank you so much sharing your experience and your system.

I am developing quite a pleasant routine. I live in England, so I believe we are at GMT +1.

I wake up and wander down to the trading machine and look at my charts - somewhere about London open. I am not monitoring every pair available; I limit myself to the number that fits onto my screen easily.

I set whichever EA seems appropriate. Sometimes this is one of the 10.2 EA's, sometimes one of my Waiting to.... EA's.

I decide if any trade needs closing because the market has moved against it. I have no particular system here and need to develop one. This has only happened twice, so it is a bit hard to decide on a system. :lol:

Then I leave mptm to monitor open trades and the various EA's to send the trades when the market triggers the trade.

So far as I can see, the only decision I have to take from here is whether to adopt Shelley's strategy of using mptm to close the entire position at x pips profit. Given the positive pips some of my 'baskets' have reached, and that this system allows for a lot of trades each week, this option looks more and more attractive.

Most of my trading so far has been on demo. My live-money trading has been smaller, but equally successful. Next week, I transfer my 10.2 trading over to my live money account entirely.

Dang, but I am having a blast. :lol:

It seems we are all good students!!! Mind you, the markets are trending at present and that is why everyone (including the EA) is in profit. The real challenge or test if you like is when the markets start to chop and change. Then we can determine if we really are good students. I was going to ask something regarding the value of the slope indicator in recovery. But, Hell, with winning rate of 80% who needs recovery.

I suspect that one of the things we shall have to start taking more note of is the angle of the Slope.

As I read it, Bob says that the Slope angle will change before the charts show this. Perhaps we will need to read the angle more quickly during ranging periods.

Or maybe, the fact that a D1 chart trading any part of its candle within the moving averages indicates a range will prove to be significant. I do not see much discussion around this, but what I notice is this: when the D1 candle shows a range by any part of it trading within the moving averages, the H4 candles wander within a narrow range.

Or, maybe all we have to do is load the relevant template onto umpteen charts and simply trade whenever Slope is > 0.8 or < -0.8

We shall see. All thingies for us to think about.

Range trades will be SRFs and crossing main pivot lines as range prices go back and forth. In other words price just keeps ranging between S1/R1 on non volatile pairs and S2/R2 on more volatile pairs. This causes it to cross the pivot line and you get to use tight SL there if you want or try a 2nd level recovery at S/R 1 lines. I got to see these in April while I was testing and the system worked very well. May was great for trending. You will love the system because it does work both ways. You just havent been able to see it yet.

The slope stays inside the 8 lines showing that there is only one real trade available so go the other way when price crosses the pivot line. You wont believe how many times it will work. The buy/sell bias of the slope will tell you which way you have a better chance of getting to the next S/R line for your TP. It is a thing of beauty.

I'm also looking forward to seeing how 10.2 reacts to a trend change/chop.

From what I can see the daily for the AUDUSD we are at -1.083 on the TMA Slope. For us to start taking longs it needs to go positive. If the trend suddenly changes up we may get stopped out of shorts we took at the bottom while the daily was still saying to go short but this shouldn't be too bad because of all the pips we gather in a running trend.

When price goes way out like that you will see a battle bewteen the bears and bulls before a reversal. This causes the slope to come back to its zero line so unless there is a real unexpected story of major proportions you wont see V trades there. You will see double bottoms/tops, H&S, 1,2,3 swing trades forming and the slope indicator will be saying to you, look what maybe coming up. So I start looking for them and sure enough they begin to show up.
