First tentative steps into live trading:
OK, so not desperately exciting but these were live 0.01 trades on a $900 starter account. I closed two global positions manually to achieve this result.
Why did I close manually?
On my normal $20,000 demo, these would have been 1 lot trades and the profit would have been $2,700, not $27. Anybody here really think that I would have left >10% profit on the table in the hope of gaining more?
The thingy that trading the larger demo has taught me is this: don't leave what looks like a half-way decent profit on the table to possibly go bad, just because the EA 'rules' precludes closure. Remember the $12,000 profit target account that reached c. $8,000 before falling back and becoming decimated?Which kind-of moves us yet further away from the idea of providing the totally new to all this with an EA they can safely leave to its own devices. Hey ho. I will keep on trying.
