Although this was the real behavior of this EA, it Seems that these questions were deliberately ignored. So maybe newbies here are not really tolerated or considered as annoying people..... very helpful isn't it Guys ?

Thats because, if we answer these questions, we might get beating from steve!!

Anyway, I will try:
1. No need 10.2 template, just drop indi on chart with allow live, allow dll.
2. 23 or 28 its up to you and what your broker offers. simply add in the pair if u need more.
3. Set your session open times according to your computer time. then it will show session active..or not.
4. Its mentioned many times in the threads, Empty4 is better if u attach the EA again with saved settings.

Effluvium, I think your post is a little out of line....
you only need to read through all the posts/threads and see that most people who are members in Steve's forum are extremely helpful.

Some things you may consider that could be the cause of the delay in a response...
Some people may be sleeping
Some people may be working
Those that are around may not know the answers
Some of the things you have asked, the answers are already in the thread


I think you may need to re-read the NB threads & I think a little patience is in order!!

Now, I will try to answer your questions for you:

1) As detailed in Post 1, Page 1
Shelley does not need any of the indicators from 10.2. Thanks to Paul (Baluda), the code for them is subsumed within the EA. Paul's contribution here is monumental.
2) I don't know...ask Steve (good luck with that)

3) As detailed in Post 1, Page 1
24 hour trading, adding to the basket and non-basket trading
To keep SJ looking for baskets throughout the trading day, set the session inputs so that the end of one and the start of the next are the same. This is the default.
4) Because that's the way it is!

Sorry if I sound a bit harsh, but I have had a pretty crap day and everyone on this forum freely give their time to discuss, develop & encourage each other, and yet you clearly don't appear to have even taken the time to read the first post.

My jpy trades where closed after 1.05 H by ShelleyJem with 16.9 and 3.0 pip profit ?
I had Mptm on as well the stops were all ready moved to BE + 2
But the closing time is the same so it has to be ShelleyJem who caused that action??

I'm in trouble with code to control MA H4 5.1 touch to confirm retrace before buy/sell

for Buy confirmation, you check if (iHigh(symbol, MaTimeFrame, cc) >= MaVal) return(true);
I think it shoud be if (iLow(symbol, MaTimeFrame, cc) <= MaVal) return(true);
as we want to see one last bar coming under MA for retracing before return into up trend.

Same think for sell.

Guys just a quick post to remind you to use the break even functions of this indicator! I'm still not sure what settings to use but during this recent uptrend trading ShelleyJem manually I've had three trades - one closure for +400 and then 2 for break even +10 (I think I was using standard settings)

I'll let you know when I find the optimal settings but for now just keep in mind that it will save you when it reverses. It's nice to know as well that the 2 break even closes were up in profit by quite a few pips so maybe I've got to aim for less pips, but much better than full stopouts!

Is it it just me having an issue with reopening this ea ???
after installing it on the map it wont reopen again for checking the settings.

I only can achieve this if I go one time frame up and then again back to the 1H TF.
then I can read and change or save the settings.

Maybe some one knows to solve this minor problem, or just ignore it if its just me and me old laptop.

Hans, could you please share you set file for Shelley. I know this is not the right place to ask so if you could post it on Shelley's thread that would be gran and I will remove my post here. Just having issues with Shelley and can't figure it out just yet.

Also what might happen now is we get confirmation of the 5.1 saying Sell and then price might retrace to top of the H1 TMA and then it will trigger. Which might also be good cause we get in a bit higher. Things to think about.

I modify SJ to print TMA value. For GBPJPY, the 8 last upper value are between 123.39/123.53 with a bid = 123.12. That's why SJ dont' trigger it. but on my graph with TMAtrue Indicator TMAtrue upper = 122.80. So I think it's a proble m of calculation with
