Here is a ,ever so slightly, lengthy update to my demo list. Took me the better part of the day so I wont be posting often like this. Basically , a summary of all the demos, in order as they appear in the fxpage thingy, upto the week end of 1st and 2nd December 2012. Users can see, and compare, settings and results on demo’s installed and run as any normal setup would exist.
As mentioned before, I’m not using VPS,VTS or whatever services provided, but PC’s with Empty4 installations like any user would install. Also, I have tried to mimick completely by default as the installer installs, but will slowly be re- installing all platforms to, c:programs/MyMT4installations/…. Thanks Gary and DC.
That will eventually be the only difference from a completely standard install from the criminals. OH, also, Matts OrderReliable addon is installed on all platforms together with my set of indicators. I try to avoid the history scripts, but if the EA calls for it, then I run the history script. Important to note is that I had posted on a few threads that I was going to change SL and TP settings to ‘0’ or not allow for them. I have slowly done this over the passed few weeks and these are the results showing on the demos. If the EA’s trademanagement works, then I use only a BE of 20/10ish and JS of 25ish. If Tmanagement is not available or does not work,i switch off TM on the EA and use MPTM to do exactly the same thing. I don’t have any baskets and try to trade all the trades individually like mentioned above, including BigMac, and subsequent Fries and MultiMac.
Okay, first up, lets cover the live accounts and get them out the way. The only live markets.com acct is doing okay. Still in huge DD but this last Friday went completely my way (thanks to silver) so going to start turning on EA’s again. Only megadroid 1.40 here with very conservative setting. 0.01 lots and 2 charts , both on 1hr EURUSD. Ratio on this crim is only 1:200 so don’t like this for any EA. Keeping this platform for manual trades only apart from megadroid EA. Using demo EA’s to ‘find’ a trade and a mix of Slowkey, 10.2, Baluda and Neotraders indis on my charts, as I do on all my platforms.

The next live platform is with avafx crim, and this one also had a good day on Friday. DD is still high so going to keep trading this manually until DD is right down. In the meantime, going to prepare the following EA’s;
Megadroid 1.4 with same settings as above except lot size at 0.05. Removed FR7.12.2 some time ago, this last JPY run really hurt this EA twice.
Removed Amber(commodity code) , what a load of crap, such a waste of benjamins. This was my lesson in wasting money on EA’s as Steve has always commented. I must be the idiot Steve was posting about for wasting so much on this EA. Really pissed off with myself.
Installing xmeter CuzLive maybe Xv2.1GR40300SL from JL as posted with same settings except keeping to minimum lot size of 0.01. No MoneyManagement here until I have more funds in the account, although Marty and ol luc might still pay me a visit at some time.
Installing FR v9.02 on other ava live account with settings from successfull demo on v9.01. Set file posted on DC’s FR forum.

Okay , Trendy Gary, to quote my notes in general tab, “- 25 Nov, much better results so far. Positions were not closing before and now MPTM taking care of that. maybe my settings were wonky with TG, but doing fine with MPTM, so leaving alone for now.”
This is a nice surprise. Still new with the no SL or TP settings, but doing a good job since started. No changes here.
Noticed that only one trade per chart is traded and sometimes after the positions are closed, only a restart will get trades going again. Very conservative and fitting for TIG.

xmeterv2.28 from Jl, a quick summary for all the xmeters. Its way too early to comment on v228 so will jump the xmeters for now. Notes will also be made along the way for all of them in the general tab, but I don’t expect any surprises here.
The only thing I can safely say as that v2.2.8 works as JL has amended. It is definitely far more carefull with the postions it takes and not erratic at all. The EA does not shut down the positions when the DD is over its limit which was the biggest problem for me with v2.2.7 and the main reason why i stopped testing 227. All changes made by JL are working correctly in my opinion so far. There is also a demo that is running exactly as JL posted v2.2.8 and the rest are with various param changes to see the differences in trading/forwardtesting.
In the course of the week, I will be adding the MT5 version to the demo list. Havent had a chance to set up yet, very impatient to do so and cant wait to see how it works.
I appreciate the changes JL has made with 228 and will test this one silly. Not live with this one yet though. Need to test for a few more months before we can make that call for the accounts.
My previous results for the cuzlivemaybe version of v2.1.2 still stand and as tested by others on this forum. I am not testing this one anymore as i am very comfortable with it and would'nt hesitate to run it live with sufficient funds as mentioned by JL. The phrase that best describes this version is 'money-makes-money'. The more you put in, the more you can get out, its the minimum thats a problem.
I am following the demos by others in my 'watched' list on the thingy page though and thrilled to see its success so far, even with the JPY ball of .... that got thrown into the markets.
MultiBob 10.2 is not doing too well. Range trading is the problem here and cant seem to get a handle to keep the EA from taking trades when there is no trend. Hoping someone , or Paul, comes up with a solution or set of params that can keep us out of ranging markets. It seems so easy to set up, but doesn’t work in reality. This has also been set up with no SL or TP. Last few positions closed manually for the week but MB opened some again straight away. That’s what it’s supposed to do, but looking at the movements/trend, I could’nt see why.

Slopey Fractals, has started to wake up with the new settings, will post a set file for others to try if interested. SF is still working through previous settings positions, but getting there. Only concern here will be DD.

Slopey Beast, I had great hopes for this EA, and then hit the dreaded Multiple open/close session recently. Don’t know what is causing this, but even with-out this occurance, had started to run on very high DD for the profit it had generated. Going to have to give up on this one. Will leave for a week or so until a new EA is ready for setting up.

10.2 Ala Al3xx started off very well and the demos I ran for v1.3 and v1.3b I have to stop. These were going to be v1.4 but I cannot say they did well at all. V1.2 seemed to be the best option of the versions released. What I noticed here on 4hr and daily charts, they had similar trades, but sometimes 4hr would have more. They all seems to start off well , very well, and then for no reason they have stopped to gain, but rather eating into the profit slowly. They all seem to win more than they lose. The problem is the odd BIG loss. Still running v1.2 and going to take a look at the settings soon. No changes for now though. Only thing I can mention, I think the very high SL and TP’s are helping and 10.2 suffers from the same problem as MultiBob with ranging markets.

Balls and Wolfie, my old favourites. I will have to stop on these as I absolutely cannot get them under control. I’m leaving results also up for another week or so before I reset with a new EA here.
I might be jumping the gun a little early based on the volaitility and then absolutely dead markets we have experienced recently, but I’m quite sure I wont be able to better the present settings. I will post a little later with some pics with the results in their threads as to why I’m kinda on-the-fence with these EA’s. very mixed results lately , with EA’s unattended completely. I do however think that manual intervening Is needed here, but also cant seem to be able to allow for a very high TP or SL here. I have set the 1440 Tf for the TP and SL calculations but still get thrown out early. I suspect the slope settings but will have to verify this when I go over them in more detail for the post in their thread. Many settings have been tried, and cannot definitively say if a basket scenario might work, but I think some of the other EA’s can produce better results when their risk is turned up like Balls.
The 3rd demo listed below for Wolfie’s Balls, had that repetitive open/close issue. I tried slope settings to very wide apart but still kept getting them occasionally. It would trade like crazy and then sit for a whole week doing bugger-all, and then startup again. Large 1440 settings for TP’s (Fractals) and Slope, but this would still happen, regardless of slope settings.

Bobs Bot started to look good after the no SL or TP setting. Still early to tell if this is going to be successful as only changed the settings last week. Carefull trader so far with few positions but mostly closing in profit lately. Was extremely slow to trade before change of settings.

Pivoty Slope started off very well, no losses etc etc, but now that we have run this for a while and been through various market conditions we can see the lovely profit curve going sky-high but the DD is almost twice as much. Not good at all and getting worse. This one is definitely picking the wrong trades. Problem now , is I can t recall if this settings version, has inherited bad positions from before the change or if I should reset and test like this for a few more months.? I f we look back at the history though , the last positions it took were with these settings and taken on the 20,21st and 22nd. These are now hopelessly in the crapper, so that’s why I’m thinking to can this now.

Damn this one makes so much sense. Come hell- or high-waters, ive tried everything with this one and I just cant seem to crack it. I’ve messed with the code, tried many approaches with three various Hardcoded versions at a time. Even a basket style MBTM, but no luck. I know there is something in currency strength that is a key to the forex madness. Baluda is an extremely smart coder and I know with the brains-trust associates here, they’ll come up with a killer solution.
Right now, I’m running the last 3 versions I’ve tweaked, with MPTM doing its TManagement thingy here of JS 30 and 20/10 BE. Still early days and lets see how this works out. You’ll notice since the 17th when these changes were implemented, there has been a marked improvement and now only have 3 open positions with the last group all closing in profit. I am no longer using Hedging here so please ignore hedge positions. The only one that needs comment on the open positions is the JPY pair that so many of us have been caught out recently. This kind of EA is supposed to keep us out of bad moves like that, but it did take the position on the 16th, a day before I set up my latest attempts here, so sitting with it until it closes a winner. Probably going to be with us for a while, so demo is not going anywhere for now. I almost gave up, but going to keep on with this one.

TTA with MPTM. I’ve strayed from DC’s original setup here and included MPTM with the same settings for BE and JS. What I have had to do here is allow hedging and let plenty positions build up. Then when I see the trend changing, I turn of EA’s for long periods, like 2 or 3 weeks and let the positions start closing themselves in profit. Its worked, but if you look at the DD, forget ever trying this live. I’m waiting to see how DC does with his latest 9.02 (breakout) and what this holds for TTA. On a side note, the new 9.01 has not traded for me in breakout mode yet.

MultBob 10.2A is suffering from the same as 10.2 version. Trending markets are needed here and this needs to stay out of range markets. I have noticed that Pivot trading might not be a good idea to trade with a the sole reason for a position, therefore slope should avoid the bad positions, but we still get into them. Cant get to a decent set file here yet, will keep trying. Havent spent much time on this, but started to close some positions in profit to see if Multi takes them again. This verifies what Multi is thinking so I can make a call on one of my live accounts, or to counter a losing trade on any other platform I’d like to manually intervene with.
I prefer the 10.2 setup and have losing faith in pivots lately. My opinion only.

Slopey Slope has shown consistant gains, albeit exteremly small . SS is currently taking a hiding from the recent JPY intervention and I suspect will be in DD for some time. It’s the first time SS has had such high DD since I started this EA demo on 14th sept. Had forgotten to remove the lotsize to allow for the 1% option to see if this helps speed up the growth on the account. This is only because I see the positions almost always close in profit. Still getting in a little late and then turning to profit. Still no trades with the metals although the TManagement picks up the change in decimals correctly.
It was noted on the thread that sometimes, after BE, the position moves far into profit, but then reverses to hit BE rather than catch JS. Try setting JS a little lower at say 15, but when I tried this, I got SL’ed out when the move went much further into profit and the EA did’nt take the position again. I like to give the position space. Personal pref here.

Bobs Bot, 2nd demo seems to be doing a lot better. I’ll have to check on the params here later as I cant get into that PC at the moment. I cant recall if I changed settings here and don’t have the correct note pad with me for this demo. Will EDIT in red here if there is anything to post about the params., and also update the fxpage thing.
As you can see in the demo, very slow trading, but no trades open at the moment and most closed in profit.

Gimme Your Hair Scalper suddenly came to life with the last set change. Was not doing well at all with very silly positions and small losses. Still early days again here with no SL or TP and TManagement doing its thing here with JS and BE.

Slopey Round Numbers has also started to show some progress lately. Opened up the TF’s for the SL and TP and kept to angle as the choice for direction as posted with Steve on thread. Started to add some charts using slope but yet to show if my set file will be any better than angle. Hoping to hear from Steve how he is doing with the slope values. Still early days here also, so lets see how this one works out.

Simple Beast With initial settings from JL has ended up as one of the only Beast’s still trading on my demos. I was successful with Bunkers and Shelley’s set file on The Beast and also with MarcelloT’s version. I have taken those off now but they were definitely worth trading. I’m still running Murphy’s Beast with no Hedging and although its in DD also now, I have no doubt it will reverse.
What I have’nt understood yet is how to meddle with the trading of Beast, or Simple Beast. My attempts have not been successful and lead to closing of trades that I don’t understand yet. I wouldn’t go live unless I have a very good understanding of when Beast will close my manual trades and have not been able to figure this out yet. Left alone, all the sets I’ve tried have shown good but slow progress. Ive started to increase lot sizes to see if we can get faster account growth with Beast EA’s. Too early to comment here but I am sure others can throw in some comments as Beast has been around for a very long time.

MultiBob on markets.com with a ratio of 1:200 is not doing much here. I have all options turned to true and messed around a little with the settings. This particular demo has no correlation and is trading selected pairs with low spreads being the main criteria for the pairs selected. No growth or loss to mention, just not getting anywhere with this one. Might be taking off but using as indicator for now to confirm manual postions on other terminals of PC.

Slopey Beast v1d was a test to see how MPTM does with the BEAST. Remember, Beast sets its own magic and I think MPTM’s clashes with Beasts settings.
MPTM has not done well here and I also tried to bring in other EA’s here to see what happens with SB. This has not been a good test, so will look to clean up for SLopey or start a new EA. Interestingly, I’m sitting with only Heged positions at the moment and it seems SB does not want to trade with the open positions. Actually going to give up here after going through my notes. The main reason is the repetative open close, scares me because i dont know whats causing it.

BIGMAC, I have hope for these EA’s, as both are set up here, MultiMac and Fries. Friday and Paul are doing a tremendous job here and I hope to improve with some tweaking of the params. I have’nt played much here, but I intend on spending some more time with this when I understand BM better also. It seems I never stop learning about them when I catchup on the threads. Plenty reading here so my results I’m sure could be better and wont stop trying here for some time still.
Cheating now and using Spots set file. No trades this last week except for some open/close positions from my cock-eyed settings.
I am however trying MPTM only here with both EA’s with NO SL or TP’s for settings and just the normal BE and JS setup since 18 nov. Havent had positions yet to see how this works out.

Multi_Stoch_Rsi_TraderultiStochRsiTrader is something I think should really work. Using two of the simplest indis to understand with all the options one can handle. I don’t know why I am not having a good run with this EA and will keep at it as I know Andy is throwing a lot of time into this EA and would like to help along.
I cant say I’ve had good success so far, but I like the way it is coded and I have a better understanding of the code from FR and xmeter . Will be playing with this one for a seriously long time. Will get to the settings and post on thread and update fxpage when I get there. Cheating here with Spot’s set file for now, but also going to avoid the basket scenario and trust the old BE and JS settings.
Using TP factor of 0.4 though.

Murphy’s Beast, standard install with set file included in post and no intervention. I have made the lot sizes a little bigger to see how the account grows. Started off very rough but stabilised and now consistant. Also included the metals here now and not doing bad at all.
Sitting with highest DD since started because of JPY pairs. Lets see how Murphy’s handles this.

Forex Robot 9.01 (going to be 9.02 on Monday), has had a great few days. Set file is the same as the one I’m running live , posted in the live section right at the top. No difference here except that it’s running on its own platform for easier tracking of trades.

GDay and GDay M2, are running here together but I have very mixed results. Right now , big DD, and following when I get a chance. Will have to spend quite some time here to see why so little trades. Will try to set the BE and SL options with no SL or TP, or at least make them very high or unreachable.
