I think there is a better way if you have different presets for your charts. As suggested by Milanese, create a blank chart, apply the TDESK Trade partner EA and load a different setfile you want to run with for your trading method. (Apply the set file before you finish loading the EA onto the chart) This has worked for me.

There is something that I personally do not find in desky, English is not my native language maybe that is why I do not find it.
I normally use hedge, however I wanted the desky to put Hedge trades in Grid and with the Trailing Stop option, the term Hedging would probably be adulterated.
It turns out that there are many times when Hedge trades are negative (normal), however will it be possible to create a Hedge in steps and close positive Hedging positions, then triggering a new Hedge?

My idea, however outlandish, is the following (forgive me if it doesn't make any sense)

----- Hedging ----
- HedgingTakeProfitValue: FixedPips / ...

----- HedgeGrid ----
- HedgeGridSize
- DistanceBetweentradesPepis (Grid)
- FillTheGaps
* Close All PendingTrades in the following situations: *
- Flat SIgnal
- Opposite Signal
- Exit Signal
* Trailing Stop Loss Settings *
-TrailingStopTargetPips

hey all

I've set up a demo of Wavegarrick's HGI system on indices, given that it's a trend following system and indices tend to trend, as well as the fact that Global Prime is now offering more of a selection of indices.

Anyways, I've changed the 'pairs to trade' names in Tdesk, and in all of the Universal Buffer Drone and Universal Signal Drone settings, and all signals are displaying in Tdesk main interface fine. The problem arises when Desky tried to execute a trade - it's giving a 4051 error, which a search tells me is sometimes to do with trade volume settings, but also about invalid pararmeters being passed into a function:

'TDesk Trading Partner EA XAGUSD,H1: JPN225 TDesk Trading Partner EA OP_BUY order send failed with error(4051): invalid function parameter value'

I know that indices have different default lotsizes - but in Desky, I've changed it from a hard lotsize to percentage risk. I've set that to 100% to try and allow as much flexibility as possible but it's still throwing that error. I know it's definitely possible to get an EA, even one that was written with currencies in mind, to trade indices - as that's what I've been doing recently with another unrelated EA, which is trading fine

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello fellow traders,
I used the UBD with several indicators but this one will not work and I am asking here for help.
The PRD indicator has 7 buffers to draw 7 lines, 1 mean, 3 upper and 3 lower lines. It displays the lines perfectly on every chart. I tell the drone to give a long signal when the price is below the first lower line, short signal when the price is above the first upper line. There should be plenty of green and red arrows but TDesk only detects Flat signals. What is wrong with my logic?

Hi CoRi,
Reading your post leaves me wondering what you are referring to. I have had to download and set up the chart but still unclear. First question is what you mean by "first lower line" or "first upper line". What is the reference point. Do you mean the lowest / highest bands? or bands around the median? A screen shot or 2 could be a great help.

Thanks for having a look into it.
Attached is a chart with the indicator. On the left you can see the buffers. I also attached a screenshot of the code where the buffers are mentioned. To answer your question precisely: I mean the bands around the median. I don't know anything about coding, so I hope that I copied the right stuff.

Hi Im not sure I am in the right place and I am truly sorry if I am not. I am just trying to find Steve Hopwood. I wanted to get a little help with an EA he built called the Reversi EA. I have been doing much reading on it and decided to pull the trigger, download and use the EA in demo. Everything seems to install correctly however when I go to drag the EA to chart it does nothing. There is a error in the Expert log that states it cant load to chart. Again I am sorry for this is I am in the wrong place. Please kindly send me to the right place if this is the case. Some way that I can contact Steve. Thank you a bunch :?

Reversi was a failure. I coded it so long ago that it probably does not run under later versions of Empty4. Forget it.
