what was your highest DD so far in pips? Mine was huge

Hi Dydynamic, It is interesting that you said your drawdown is minimal so far. I 've looked at your set file, as you said, there is no SL and no stop on opposite signals. In theory you could run into big drawdown if there were trades did not go into profit at all, so the breakeven or jumping stop could not be triggered along the way. There are bound to be some of these trades running into huge losses. Please ignore this if I have misread your set file. Cheers |

Hi, First of all thanks to Steve for this forum and this (and other) wonderful EA's. Have some idea that I think will bring this amazing EA even better and reduce drawdown significantly. I do not use market orders, once experianced trader told me not to chase the market but wait market come to you so I stick to this. I do not know if Trend = true is there a way just to go for pending order and not market order + pending order ? Correct me if I am wrong please. The main idea is shown in pic. below and I am sure that Steve and a lot of you are aware of Pipcruiser moving pending order below the previous candle. Maybe Steve can use the routine from other EA, I am shitty coder so am not sure but think will be very helpfull. Steve, you are genious !!! |

My drawdown is my stoploss. This might sound crazy, presently my drawdown is about $65 and i have already hit my 10% target. I can use steve script and close all the trades and pending orders if i dont like where the market is heading. How it works, i use HGI hurst indicator to monitor the pairs that are causing the drawdown and if i discover it is heading the wrong way,i simply close all trades and pendings and start all over with my 10% target intact. The beauty of 1HR TF is that it is perfect for hedging and you can monitor it every hour or every session. Everyone should have his own unique style of trading. It will be very difficult for me to explain it all.is is what demos are for, experiment and find your own comfort zone. well, with,HGB and hurst indicator, i think i am getting really close to my comfort zone. |

I am going to give this some thought because I had an idea on the way home. Multi time frame use of HGI. Trade in the direction of the latest signal on the higher tf, entering on a ltf signal. This might be worth playing with and pendings might be an option.  |

Thanks Now i work with HBG in 15 min. only eurusd. I trade manual, and my target is 1% a day. HBG work very well. 1000 U$ = 0,04 lot. i only entry in big arrows. Regards :hi: |

Hey Steve, I've been thinking along similar lines (kinda-sort of)... Trade the lower timeframe (say, M15 or M30, depending on ATR), Trend+Wavy to Trend+Wavy only, with appropriate BE & JSL (damn, I wish I could work out what those were!), and look for a signal in the same direction on the next timeframe up... When you get that signal, any trades which have had their JSL moved X number of times get new JSL's, calculated according to the higher timeframe... Same again for the next timeframe up, 'til the trades are managed according to H4 settings. When combined with using pendings for the initial trade (maybe even "local pendings" as in your "Waiting To Buy/Sell" EA's) to ensure that the signal has a decent set of legs, we should get a damn good number of smaller winners, with a few of them getting in long before the H4 sends a signal, and carrying right through. At the same time, those of us that can hedge can take trades that are counter to the H4 trend. Another silly idea... After the initial pending is placed, we place subsequent pendings BE + 1 to 1.5 * Average Spread. Well, that's enough thinking for for one night for me... Multi timeframe approach Steve and all, one strategy that I am trying with manual trading on live account is to have a Dashboard set up with three HGI matrices: Day, H4 and H1. Every morning I look for a new Day trend arrow across the pairs. If I see a 'good' one I set in motion trades with HGI signals as they appear, hammering H4 or H1 trades in the direction of this Day trend signal. I have done a fair bit of back testing this simple approach and man some of those Day signals start significant runs with the subsequent H4 and H1 signals being ALL high quality. Conversely there are very few Day trend signals that are duds. Why not go with the highest quality H4 signals and trade them hard - that is the idea. The idea of an 'upper time frame' trend filter for our beloved HGB EA is worth consideration.  |

I'm testing HGI/HGB on lower TF and would like to be able to easily see this info on each pair, I'm flipping back and forth between charts manually. makes my head spin after 45 minutes of 5 minute candles!
