............. quick update:

"Imbalance" Exp still in the lead for closed profit and shortly after the peak of today's move up currently has a total of just 15 positions open instead of 32 for RnR original. This is only one snapshot but looking promising so far anyway :yahoo:
Hi TJF,

In terms of open position, is the Imbalance EXP also in the lead ?

Cheers,
KWChau

When I posted earlier it was the only one in profit with open positions included since the others were in bigger drawdown. Now things have changed with the retrace and the original is back in the lead.

I expect the results to ebb and flow in this way. During and immediately after a straight move the "imbalance" Exp should lead due to lower drawdown from not taking additional positions on the wrong side as price moves.. it's relative disadvantage is that once there is a retrace the standard RnR will take it's advantage while "imbalance" Exp requires a further move either way to move ahead.

The way I see it the standard RnR will be more profitable when price action is moving within a range and "imbalance" Exp will be safer and hopefully still profitable when price breaks out. I am thinking perhaps swapping between them for different sessions and/or market conditions could be one way forwards...

magic 0: RnR original

magic 1: Imbalance Exp RnR

magic 2: RnR TJF with M15 trend hedge only when imbalance is 20 or more

magic 10: RnR original with manual direction (long or short only following H1 trend arrow in direction of D1 CSS until opposite; both long and short all other times).

it's a 100k demo account so will be fun to leave it alone over Brexit and see what flies or dies.
Ok I've decided on a simpler definition for RnR Magic 10 .... partly because it makes it a bit easier for me to keep track and change the settings on the bot and sometimes simple is best too.

Letting go of HGI now with this and just using CSS H1 or H4 to define long, short or both ways during range : (H1 when I'm home and H4 for night or when out and about .. the push alert is a handy call to action).

It's looking good for now .. looking forward to some fun tomorrow

I will try to tell you guys this from time to time.

Most of you will ignore me. That is normal. I will try to remember to interject occasionally.

RnR is the simplest bot available.

Trade him on GJ, 0.01 lots per $10,000 and you will be persistently and comfortably profitable.

You don't have a $10,000 account? Save up until you do. RnR will massacre you else.

I will continue to mention this from time to time.

Until then:
:arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg:

Or I might simply close this thread and start a new one dedicated to the version of RnR that I have been trading profitably since his inception. Not sure.

Or maybe start a PAMM account with GlobalPrime so people with lesser resources can still benefit from RnR?

Don't know about the requirements, but am willing to investigate.

Below the results since 2nd June, testing the 5pip[#0], 10pip[#1] and 20pip[#2] distance.
As shown, the 5pip is the very most profitable with over $1.800,- in 15 trading days.

The TradeChart shows the DD of the 5pip grid during the same period.
Max DD is slightly higher than the realised profit untill now.
What also is very obvious, that a period/ day of high DD is rewarded with a big bump in the accountbalance.
There are days with $200-$300 profit in between.
If this performance keeps up next week, and I have no reason to doubt that, the EA will reach ~25% a month on a 10K account.
Not bad for watching a computer screen all day and do nothing :jump:

There are work-arounds for people that can't deposit 10K with preferably GP, like cent-accounts and the like.
I might get a wristslap for this, but I see no harm in using such accounts until the balance reaches 10K and move over to a 'real' broker.

Minimum deposit for investors $5.000,-
Minimum 3 investors
Minimum 3 months history to show profitable strategy before being able to start a PAMM

I guess the minimum deposit will be too much for those looking for an alternatieve way to trade RnR.
