It may be hard for someone to tell you the best setting for the ea, however what you could do is study the thread to see what other people are doing.....and then test for yourself. While this ea works really well, it would be folly for you to just stick it on a chart without knowing what you are doing. IMHO daveM |

It appears that the ea will make one entry for a pair and then waits until that entry is closed before making another entry. Would it be feasible to have an option to allow an additional entry, say, an hour later, and a third, perhaps an hour later? OR I could have missed an existing facility in the current EA. Thanks daveM |

Hi Steve & followers, On my route to ATM Auto Trade Mastery - I would say on the level 1-5 I am somewhere in the middle after 1 year burning daylight and midnight oil. I love 10.2 manual trading plus recognition that there are no fire and forget EAs and that a continued engagement in the market and the EAs progress is essential. In the first instance I use an agreessive hurdle rate of 3 x net profit to RDD and look for a smooth equity curve to select EA and settings. On the running of the EA the I try and make fact based decisions for example EA back test results (on clean data) noting RDD, successvice losses etc If these criteria against the BT are broken in live trading then the settings / EA are no longer valid and EA is removed - fact I am struggling with this EA a little and pearls of wisdom or direction (not necessarily the answer! - I don't spoon feed my children anymore ..) see report EURGBP June 11 - June 12 on cleaned Axitrader data consistent losses why? Error spotted in the auto-trading EA code: You have set the variable MaxTrendStackTrades=6; as a bool rather than an integer! extern bool MaxTrendStackTrades=6; |

Johnathan I think your lengthy post is showing backtest results..... miles and miles of variables... What you really need to interpret results is walk forward testing....... a backtest will give you wall paper and little else. I am sure that the people that wrote the ea did considerable backtesting before releasing the version Here is a page which outlines a method of walk forward analysis http://www.amibroker.com/guide/h_walkforward.html IMHO daveM |

Nice one DING. Thanks. This is a bloop. I repeated the same bloop a little further down, in the lower time frame Slope code. V 2b is in post 1 with a fix for this; it is an essential download. |
