Paul, I thought it might be useful to see SlopeValues for both H4 and D1. I tried running two copies, with autoTimeFrame = false and timeFrame = H4 or D1. It creates two indicator windows, but both of them display in the same window, overwriting each other. I made horizontalOffset an extern, and now I can display them side-by-side. Just a suggestion... |

Gary, Until Paul gives you something better, you can change the first real line in init() to something like this: Code: Select all |

Good idea George, thanks! Ah, except the shortName gets displayed in the appropriate indicator window, instead of moving with the text objects. I'll have to add a new text object if I want the label to display with the rest of the info. |

Are you still trying to get them side by side in the same window? I was just trying to get them to act like you'd expect. Or perhaps as I'd expect. George |

Ahh, I see. I thought you were just suggesting an identifying label so I could see which was which. With different shortNames, they display in their appropriate windows. But actually I kind of liked having them side-by-side -- better use of vertical screen real estate. So if I want to do that, I can't change the shortName. So I stuck the Timeframe in front of "Ranging," so that puts an identifier on each instance. Bit of a hack but it works nicely and it's simple. |

Well, if you really want to hack it up, you can save your second version with the new extern as a new indicator and make it a main chart indi by using #property indicator_chart_window. Then, when you drop it on the chart, you won't get the second sub window, it will update the existing sub window from the original indi! I tried it, and it actually worked. We're probably giving Paul nightmares. George . |

Hi Paul, I am a newbie, doing a demo account since Sep 4, but already have jumped to this forum from all those others (e.g., FF, TSD, ...) Really excited about NB 10.2x incarnations. Your set of indys seem to cover all that NanningBob trading requires, notwithstanding the fact that your Currency Slope indys can simply be traded in their own right ! Excellent work I have found indeed, after having tried dozens of currency indys... My dumb questions (have a 32" TV screen with VGA display, and running FXCM Empty4 with Build 438 (Sep 21, 2012.) 1. Can I adjust column spacing on Slope Values? Or perhaps use a different font? Or change the listed order of currency columns? I don't seem to get the full list of currencies displayed. From L-R get all 7 columns except the USD (and don't care about the rightmost display column of all currencies.) Unless I change the font from 9 to 8, I get overlapped readings. 2. Also, I can see the bullets for the lower TF readings, but don't see the Trend Icons arrows on any TF. Do they take a lot of time to appear? 3. How many bars do we get with Bars Max=0? 4. How frequently are the updates (data refreshes), and are they different for each TF? Is there a way (or even a need ) for customizing? 5. Is your TMA Slope indy an upgrade for the one from zznbrm? You do include Sunday candles, but is there any other feature missing? Also what is the purpose of TFs below H1? I see the same chart display in all TFs, so could the chart look nicer with only the current/lower TF display in each TF? 6. Looks like the Slope Values indy is a superset of the Slope Strength one, since all the trading info is in the Slope Values indy which also has all the TFs too. Any comments? 7. I was wondering if you could include, in your coming update, a separate section in the Slope Values indy, where you list the top 3-4 Buy/Sell pairs, with a bullets matrix showing relative strengths in 3-4 TFs. Now that would be instant trading, coupled with own pivot and S/R methodology, without having to go through various TFs ! On my screen, there is space available to the right, which could be highlighted thus. 8. For now, I cannot bring up the Currency Slope Strength chart indy- seems like it takes a lot of time and freezes my Empty4. Maybe I just need to be patient for 10-20 min first time? Thanks to all you guys including Steve for all this valuable voluntary work. Cheers, Athar. |

Paul, Sorry for mixing up in #1 below. I meant the Slope Strength indy USD column does not display ! The #2 problem with Trend Icons not showing is the same for both Slope Strength and Slope Values. Athar.

| Post subject: | Re: Baluda Indicators- Trend Icon and Pivot Direction ... |
Paul (or friends), I am now experimenting with various fonts (prop and non-prop) to solve my #$2 Trend Icon display problem, and thus far Andale Mono font size 8 works best. The PivotDirection font however is still small. Anyway, 1. I can see Trend Icon arrows pointing up, down, sideways and at +45 degree and -45 degree angles, in the same color as the currency. I take it to mean that color ought to be ignored, and the currency trend is very strong (up), very weak (down), middling (sideways), moderately strong (+45 deg) or moderately weak (-45 deg). So a red currency with sideways arrow implies that the trend is middling down. And a lime green color currency with a -45 deg arrow says that it is trending up, but moderately weak only. Am I right ? 2. The pivot notation confuses me. What does 0, 1, and 2 menu choices for it really stand for? And what is the difference between pDWM and DWpM? I can see that changing from the 2 default to 0 changes the notation, but the one or two arrows (?) following in the same color don't change. Athar. |
